The Inn is beautiful, but it is clearly coasting on its reputation and it's falling down on the job. You'd think that for more than $300 a night they'd hire some staff to, for example, clean up the piles of horse manure that litter the grounds; fix the plumbing -- we were not the only guests whose rooms had no... more

While the Inn is located on beautiful grounds and provides amazing views of the ocean from many of it's rooms, it is clear that after staying for four nights that the Inn may be going through some financial and management issues that directly affect a vacationer's experience. While negotiating our stay by telephone, I inquired about a possible buy three... more

There just aren't a lot of hotel/resorts on Vieques. When the W opens this will all change but, for now, the Blue Horizon is basically the only big resort in its class. Sure, the place has seen more fabulous days. And, yes, the restaurant is probably no longer worth what you pay. But the grounds are still beautiful. The pool,... more

Just spent 3 nights at the Inn on the Blue Horizon. First, the good. The room was very neat and clean. The view of the ocean is spectacular (truly a blue horizon). The pool is very nice. The women at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The grounds were nice. Now, the not so good. For $360 per... more

We stayed at the IOBH for 5 nights and were extremely disappointed at the lack of amenities and service. For $366/night, we would have liked the ability to get a drink at the pool--which was not possible because the bar didn't open until 5:30 p.m. Also, the restaurant was only open 2 of the 5 days we were there, and... more

Inn on the Blue Horizon provides a private, quiet place to spend time with your partner. The inn has several rooms in the main building augmented by multiple casitas. We stayed in a casita, chose not to run the air conditioning, were perfectly comfortable and appreciated the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Cons: Wild horses add charm... more

We had a great experience at The Inn on the Blue Horizon. It's in a beautiful location, great if you want a quiet, television and technology free retreat, the staff helpful and friendly. I am puzzled by the negative comments here - not consistent with my experience. more

Although this is a place with potential we felt ripped off. We were looking for a top of the line experience and paid for it but the place did not deliver. The place is lacking in cleanliness, ammenities, and service. The property has good 'bones' but it's in need of an all around old fashioned scrubbing, painting, and upkeep. Upholstery... more

This place has a lot of "raw" potential but it really lacks in over all quality. It must be the only game in town because I don’t get why anyone would stay here for the price. My wife and I and another couple spent a Saturday night at the hotel. We arrived at around noon and were greeted at the... more

After reading some other reviews that have been posted I'm baffled to hear anything but great compliments for this place. The Staff went above and beyond what i felt was necessary, One day when there was a confusion on our car rental (not their fault) and the taxis were on holiday. The office staff called her own family to to... more
