Out of all the guesthouses in Vieques, this one seemed like the best one I had seen online. So I made the reservation. I got to the guesthouse, and the view of the bay is incredible. They have a restaurant upstairs, and the gift shop/office below. I went to check in at the office, and they informed me that there... More

WARNING!!!! Terrible customer service cancelled my room DAYS before my stay with NO warning and charged me regardless. Basically, if you don't want to deal with rude, unprofessional people who have no problem taking your money and leaving you stranded in Viequez, DO NOT STAY HERE! See below for details. Although I'm a frequent traveller and avid trip advisor user,... More

Trade Winds Guesthouse is great! It sits directly across from the ocean toward the end of a strip with many restaurants and bars, and with swimable beaches within a brief walking distance. The complementary breakfast is substantial with options for eggs, French toast, etc. served by friendly wait staff. Clean rooms, super comfortable beds(!), and really helpful staff. We will... More

We booked the two night bio bay package for $300 and it was a great value. The rooms are very basic but clean, and why would you spend alot of time in your room anyway when you are steps from paradise. The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant was very good, but dinner can take a little time so... More

Liked the location right on the Malecon and the beautiful Carribean right across the street. Nice ambience to sit outside for dinner and overlook the lovely view. The folks in the little gift show/office were very sweet and personable. However, that's the most positive things I can say. We stayed in the room way in the back which was it's... More

It's 10pm. I'm in bed, tired from a sun and sea soaked day on Vieques. Paradise found! Almost . . . the peepers are peeping and the surf is crashing along the Malecon all to the beat of an incredible sub woofer that has no last call. Only the unusually monsoon like rain conditions can abate these vehicular DJ's! I... More

I stayed here because it looked simple and non-touristy. It was. On a shoe-string budget, I stayed for a week. The restaurant was surprisingly good and served fresh seafood and local dishes. This is not the place to go if you like room service- or phones, for that matter. Roosters woke me up each morning... I've been all over mainland... More

My travel companion and I arrived and were pleasantly charmed by the front desk staff. They enjoyed seeing a very young and vibrant couple and they made a little extra effort to give us a good, well ventilated and spacious room. One of the ones opening to the communal patio. The rooms are good, solid, and perfect for a couple... More

Tradewinds guest house is a cute spot at the end of the only strip of hotels and restaurants in Esperanza. It has the feel of a hostel with a porch/common area directly outside of private rooms. It's very basic, not luxurious in any sense of the word but the staff is very friendly and helpful. I didn't spend much time... More
