We found this place through a friends recommendation. We had planned to stay only one night but we loved the place so much we decided to stay a second night! It was a perfect tranquil and peaceful alternative to Rincon where we had been the 4 days prior. The only noises you hear are the Coqui frogs and occasionally Spike... More

This bed & breakfast is an awesome place if you want to experience the Puertorican mountains. On our way there, we visited the Torro Negro forest, where we hiked around in the lush rainforest for a few miles, and then drove the scenic panoramic road to the hacienda. Sitting on the porch of our little cottage made for a wonderful,... More

What a lovely break in the middle of a month in San Juan. This is a beautiful facility set the mountains of Puerto Rico. Part of the fun is getting there along the winding mountain road with spectacular views. This is family run operation and they take exceptional pride in ensuring that all of their guests are satisfied. The coffee... More

After much searching the internet we found this little piece of paradise. Hacienda Pomarrosa is a family run coffee plantation/ bed and breakfast. The rooms were big, beautifully decorated, pristine, the attention to detail was palpable in every corner of this beautiful farm. When we arrived at the farm Sebastian greeted us and offered a cup of their delicious coffee.... More

Thanks to TripAdvisor reviews, we stumbled across Hacienda Pomarrosa and were excited to add this to our itinerary. This is a "can't-miss" experience for a few reasons....the drive to the coffee farm leads you through the mountains, which are wonderful for the crazy windy roads and beautiful scenery. Without seeing this, you miss a substantial part of Puerto Rico. Kurt... More

We didn't stay on the Hacienda but drove there for their tour of the coffee plantation. Part of the fun is getting there thru the central mountain region of Puerto Rico. You will drive thru winding roads as you go up to one of the highest peaks on the island. When you arrive, the tempature is cooler, the mountains majestic,... More

A wonderful, curving drive up into the jungle mountains, giant tree ferns, orchids, bromeliads galore was the perfect entry into this wonderful secluded coffee farm. We stayed in a delightful, clean casita, serenaded to sleep by the cocqui; the roosters did not bother us, I believe some had gone away by the time of our trip. Kurt made us a... More

We stayed in the small cottage with hammock for one night, and we were the only people there for the night and for the tour. The cottage was just perfect, with a porch looking into the jungle so you could listen to the frogs and watch the fireflies at night from the hammock. It was spotlessly clean and looked professionally... More

This is a must when visiting Puerto Rico! We drove 2 hours and it was totally worth it. We sat in a breezy cabana and enjoyed a cup of fresh coffee while Kurt told us the history of this tasty beverage. Afterwards, Sebastian took us on a tour of the farm and through their processing facility. We finished the tour... More

I cannot say enough great things about the Hacienda Pomarossa. Kurt and Sebastian are gracious and knowledgeable hosts. We stayed in the smaller of the two houses and it was an absolute delight. The windows in the bedroom overlooked the mountains, the house was decorated with beautiful wall hangings from the family’s travels, cute little homey touches (ladybug embroidered towels,... More
