We booked with Hacienda Pomarrosa because it was in a somewhat central location for exploring the south and west coasts and mountain regions of Puerto Rico. This ended up being a great choice, as we were able to explore, Arecibo, Jayuya, Ponce, La Perguera, San German and everywhere in between. It put us squarely beside Toro Negro National Park, an... I took the tour at Hacienda Pomarrosa. The tour was excellent!!! Kurt and Sebastian did a great job and the coffee was excellent!! This was one my favorite experiences in Puerto Rico. Make sure you get the directions from Kurt before you leave.

Selected Hacienda Pomarrosa because it was in the beautiful central mountains, and because of our interest in coffee. Of the four B&Bs we stayed in on the island, Pomarrosa was the best, hands down. Forty minutes north of Ponce, the hacienda is not difficult to find, if you follow Kurt’s directions and check a GPS or Google maps along the... More

My boyfriend and I loved our 1-night in Hacienda Pomerrosa. The room (plus hammock and porch!) was great and the surroundings were stunning. Fresh laid eggs for breakfast, yummy bread and jam, plus Sebastien was even able to make us a vegetarian sausage pattie (we are both vegetarians). The road to get there is windy but well worth the drive... More

being in Puerto Rico. It was time to have a cup. 25 years later. It was by chance an unprofessional mess up on Buena vista (don't waste your time) but Kurt was gracious to take up on 1hr before tour appointment. Was it worth the extra drive and them some. Great compassionate people. The coffee was nothing that I have... More

We took a coffee tour today at Hacienda Pomarrosa. What a wonderful experience. We learned so much about the history of coffee from our gracious host Kurt and his son Sabastien. Definitely get driving instructions from Kurt and buy a map. Great drive through the mountains. The grounds are beautiful and you will see banana trees, citrus trees and so... More

My husband and I stopped by here without a reservation and luckily Kurt said he would be able to accommodate us because there had been a couple of cancellations (so I would recommend emailing first). I am so glad we stopped! I've had a lot of different kinds of coffee, however this is my new favorite. The tour is $20... More

This was our first coffee tour ever and we really loved it! We just did the tour and did not stay the night. Everything is neat and clean, and very open. During the first hour, we learned where coffe originated and its history, how it ended up in Puerto Rico and became so popular. Very interesting! We had a good... More

We stayed one night at Hacienda Pomarrosa which is family run and if we could we would have stayed longer. The rooms were tastefully decorated and pristine. I was in awe when we got out of the car. Hacienda Pomarossa has a kind of botanical garden feel around the houses with plants/shrubs of varying colors. That alone had a calming... More

We didn't stay here but came for the tour. We stopped in without an appointment and I'm glad we did. Wonderful tour, coffee, banana bread. The views getting there were fantastic and great historical/agricultural background on coffee. Bought a bunch to bring home as gifts and everyone loves it! Highly recommend as a fun afternoon activity.
