We flew into San Juan a day before our cruise left and stayed here. We absolutely loved it! It is not the Ritz, but has everything you need and is very clean. We took a taxi from the airport for $19 to get here. We were expecting to have to leave our luggage and wait for a room (we arrived... more

My wife and I checked in after taking a taxi from the airport, which is a set 15$ plus a dollar per bag. From that moment on the staff really helped us with all of our needs. All of the restaurants that were recommended were superb. For the location and price there is no match. I would never pay the... more

Le Consulat was very cute and humbling. The hotel is centrical to EVERYTHING: a bus ride or cab drive to Viejo San Juan (Old San Juan), all of the lively clubs, restaurants and SHOPPING. Maria and the staff were great! We were upgraded to a room with our own patio, which was so darling. Staying in LE CONSULAT allowed me... more

If you want a small intimate feel to a hotel, and not the sterile cookie cutter approach, then Le Consulat might be the one for you. I opted to stay there this week right after I had surgery on my elbow and my stay was quite pleasant. The staff at the front desk was helpful and pleasant. My room, #108,... more

Overall, very satisfied with Le Consulat. Upon arrival, seeing that we had brought our daughter with us, the desk clerk upgraded us to a larger room (two queens and sofa sleeper) for the first three nights of our four night stay at the same price. Nice! This was Room #314 and we liked it very much. The final night was... more

Stayed there one night pre-cruise. Price was right as we didn't need a resort coming in late afternoon on rainy day. Location is great, near beach, Walgreens, shopping and several restaurants (we went to Buenes Ayres down block for drinks). I would agree with previous posters abour our room, #112, right off lobby. Does get noisy in evening, with people... more

This hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The area around the hotel didn't seem clean or particularly safe. more

We stayed one night pre-cruise. Hotel was very clean, staff helpful. We had a room on the 1st floor which had no window- but did have a lovely private patio. Unfortunately, the patio doors had no way to let in light unless they were open. The room was small, but had a nice flat screen TV. The cafe for breakfast... more

On our second trip to the Condado we selected Le Consulat becasue of location and price. We were not disappointed. Suzette, Janet and Nadia were FANTASTIC...helpful, friendly and professonal. The hotel is CLEAN and chic. It is simple and basic but really charming. We enjoyed the pool, had our own private patio. Room decor is charming. Location could not be... more

I agree with the recent 2009 reviews. This is indeed a fantastic "boutique hotel" in a very convenient, safe and comfortable section of the Condado (halfway between the International airport and Old San Juan). As the other reviewers have stated, a 24- hour Walgreens is no more than two blocks away (around the corner) and there are many decent walking-distance... more
