I have read various reviews both pro and con regarding the Coqui. Before you decide to book a room - understand what your needs are. If you are looking for luxury, look somewhere else. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive room in the heart of Isla Verde - this is your place. I would rather spend money going... more

I chose to stay at Coqui in before my cruise back home. I decided on Coqui Inn becuase it was reasonably priced and I just needed a clean no frills place to stay to do some shopping before my crusie. I stayed in my assigned room for a total of 15 mins before I decided to check out and try... more

First I'd like to apologize to this guest - there obviously is a problem with the housekeeping staff and their perception of clean based on this report. Today I met with the entire staff to address the situation. I have assigned a new supervisor to retrain the housekeeping staff and inspect rooms before guests arrive. I have also met with...

We spent a very unpleasant night here due to changed plans at the end of a family vacation in PR. We were rained out of our campsite & were looking for a budget place close to Old San Juan. While they'd posted a price of $80 on the internet, they refused to honor this rate at check-in & demanded $133/room.... more

We have a policy at Coqui Inn of no more than a maximum of 4 people in a room. This party registered and paid for four people in each room - but apparently they brought in additional people to stay in the rooms. Each room had two full-size beds, so I'm not sure where a fifth person stayed - perhaps...

We quickly left the room to see if we could get out $80 dollars back. We were denied a refund therefore we asked for a different room. The room was a little better since it didn't look much like a jail cell (like the prior room). This room had hair on the floor, stains on the mattress, hair on the... more

The room was decent seemed clean. The staff was great and great location. The restaurant was excellent. For the price I paid... more

I read some disappointing reviews of the Coqui and decided to book anyways to save money. Our room the first night was unacceptable but, first thing the next morning, I went to the front desk to request a different room and got a much nicer, more comfortable room. All the rooms at the hotel are very different though so I... more

I made a reservation with this hotel, and after cancelling the reservation in accordance with his statutes they still pull the money out of my debit card. Now they don't want to refund me. They said is the bank responsability to do the claim. I have checks bounced because of this action. Be aware of the way this hotel do... more

This review was posted due to a misunderstanding with the guest that has since been resolved. The guest had initiated a refund request with directly with his credit card company before the spoke to me. The credit card company advised me not to process a refund from the hotel - since it was already in process and would result in...

I have worked in hotels for 7 years, 5 of which have been in management. Currently I am the operations manager for an Embassy Suites and I really like this place. I generally stay in very nice hotels because I can usually get an employee rate with any hilton hotel. Unfortunately this time I could not. When I was looking... more
