The Palace Hostel was a wonderful place. When I first flew in on my a st minute vacation, I had steeled myself for anything, having traveled and stayed in hostels before Thankfully, I was more than pleasantly surprised. The staff on duty, Josiah, was very kind and courteous, during check in (and during the rest of stay), and the room... More

I came to The Palace Hostel with a reservation for 1 night, but ended up staying in 2 month. It is a fantastic hostel in walking distance to Condado, 3 different beaches and 5 min. from the busstop to Old San Juan. There is good indoor and outdoor facilities, which makes it possible to always hang out with other travellers... More

The Hostel had a great atmosphere and there were a lot of people from all over to hang out with. It was clean and well taken care of and easy to get to restaurants and bars and such. The staff were friendly and very helpful as well. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

It's my first time staying at a hostel but it went pretty well. I liked the staff and they're super helpful in giving you traveling tips and making you feel at home. They've great balcony and outside spaces. The only thing is the room and common area at first floor are a bit dark and not super clean, but I... More

I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights. The staffs in the hostel are very cool, helpful and friendly. They will try their best to help you even you show up without booking and they are full. The rooms and common areas are very clean. It's located in the middle of everything, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, cinemas are within couples of... More

I also loved the little information posters they had in the bathrooms about Puerto Rico LOL. The only thing i didn't like in our room was the loud VERY... More

A clean hostel to stay in with friendly staff around at all times to help with any of your questions. It was a little difficult to find at first, but we called the hostel when we were lost and Andy came outside to find me and my friend and walked us back. We also received a lot of help in... More

I've stayed at many hostels in the US, South/Central America, and Europe. I enjoy shared living environments and appreciate the value they offer. I would say that, in terms of my travel profile, I'm somewhere beyond "shoestring hobo traveler" but I'm hardly Hilton material. I found the Palace Hostel disappointing. I'll list a few of the many reasons why: The... More

My husband and I stayed at the Palace Hostel before we left for our cruise in April. It was my first hostel experience, and it was that bad, but it could have been a lot better. When we arrived from a full day of traveling, the taxi driver had the hardest time trying to find the place, which we had... More
