This hotel does not rate 4 Stars. The staff at the front desk acts as if the customer really doesn't matter. If you have a complaint, you are unable to talk with management. You are handed a business card and told to write a letter. There is a function room on the 6th floor (the Gold Room) which is rented... more

We booked our trip at the Normandie in San Juan through lastminute.com. We got a sweet deal with airfare and 4 nights for $350 per person! The Normandie was extremely clean. The rooms were huge and we got upgraded for free to the ocean view. All you have to do is ask the very friendly and accomadating staff. The pool... more

I was at the Normandie for 9 nights. The lobby ceiling had water stains and my room had stains on the carpet. The nightstand paint was peeling and the shower curtain did nothing to stop water from leaving the shower. Upon walking into the room and closing the door I found broken sunglasses behind the door. On the 3rd night... more

We went to PR for our honeymoon. My husband is half PR so we went to see his heritage. We stayed there for 5 days. The hotel was really dirty!!! They don't believe in painting or just cleaning. There were spots on the wall where it looked like a roach was smashed and they didn't clean it. Nasty stains on... more

We won this hotel for a free 7 night stay so for the price it was AMAZING. If I paid as much as others, though, I would be very angry. I would never give it a 4-star rating but it does have its positives. PROS: Location is spectacular! Within walking distance to Old San Juan and only a two minute... more

For a 4 Star Hotel this certainly has to be one of the WORST KEPT SECRETS IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY. Firstly POOR MANAGEMENT there were times that this hotel appeares to have no personnel at the front desk and the CARPET IN THE ROOM WAS DIRTY with SOILED STAINS and THE LIGHT BULBSin the bathroom was out. There was one... more

No outdoor lounge area except for extremely small pool which is closed at 7:00 PM you are not able to eat or drink and unable to watch the sunset! All hotel staff are hiding after 2:00 AM and are sleeping! Hotel staff are unattentive. The hotel lobby and interior lounge bar and restraunts are Totally Dead. The hotel is environmentally... more

My daughter and I went on a vacation to Puerto Rico. I was scared to stay at the Normandie, as I should be! Our toilet over flowed, cd player did not work, nor the coffee pot. I reported this to the front desk, as they said they would contact the GM ( Carlos ). That never happened. On our last... more

We spent 5 days and 4 nights at the Normandie and loved every moment of the stay. We took full advantage of the facility since it rained several days and we spent more time than expected at the hotel. Our room was large and comfortable - the breakfasts were great and we even took advantage of having dinner at the... more
