The Gallery Inn in Old San Juan gives you the feeling of living in a beautiful old Spanish villa, with various public rooms and patios, art and flowers, parrots and beautifully appointed rooms with comfortable beds (ours had a canopy). We arrived late and hungry and some fruit and bread and cheese as well as a cold beer and a... more

Positive: 1. I'm not a very artistic person, but the historic building, plants, and art were really amazing. Pictures cannot do it justice. 2. Very friendly, helpful staff...all spoke very good English. 3. Good location. From the hotel, we walked all over Old San Juan, to nice restaurants, and to the forts. 4. Above average free breakfast (fruit, bread, coffee,... more

We arrived at the hotel at 10am after a night flight from Los Angeles. We had called ahead twice to ask for an early check in and were told that they didn't think it would be a problem. However, when we arrived there was no record of our calls and the room wasn't ready. We couldn't get a lounger around... more

The Gallery Inn is so close to both of the forts, El Morro and San Cristobal! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are so amazing! We stayed in the ocean suite with our son who is 20 months. there were three couches in the room! It was lovely and the balcony/roof top view was out of this... more

From the joke Manuco told us as we checked in, to sunset at the roof deck, to the excellent restaurant recommendations, to the gorgeous birds (they go to bed pretty early, don't worry about noise during the night), to the amazing art work, to the caffe con leche and fresh fruit at breakfast, we enjoyed every minute of our stay... more

we were able to get a last minute price and were treated very well. Lovely dinner with Jan and her husband chatting away. Their birds weren't too loud either :) It's great for art lovers and architecture loavers alike. Rooms are everywhere you look - all the way upstars to the deck, up top. Highly recommended. (AC wasn't so good... more

Stayed there on our honeymoon - last night. It was awesome! The place has tons of personality (but is pretty too)! its very artsy, relaxed and fun - but also slightly nice / upscale. Great location also. After walking around San Juan, we walked back to the hotel and some guy and the front desk offered us wine and told... more
