Casablanca is a nice eclectic hotel located in the heart of old San Juan. The location on calle fortaleza is absolutely perfect. walk to the forts, shopping, the best osj restaraunts and catch some salsa and tunes at the nuoyorican cafe situated right across the street. The hotel boasts an eclectic lobby with good collection of accent pieces which makes it... More

We stayed here the night before our cruise, based on the very good reviews. The location was great for touring around Old San Juan and we wheeled our suitcases down to the cruise ship terminals easily. My experience here reminded me of some of the hotels I've stayed at in Europe. It was fairly clean but the quality of the... More

There are a few hotels in Old San Juan where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the city and walk a short distance to all the sites. One of these hotels, the Hotel Casablanca is a great place to stay for it's in the heart of the city. Just across the street is one of the best restaurants in all... More

Dear Rob, Thank you so much for your review, it was a very enjoyable reading! And your advice is spot on, Old San Juan is a City with many steep streets, uneven cobblestones from the 1800's and narrow streets. Our government is working hard to make this a walkable city and street by street they have made the main sidewalks... More

Perfect location, right in Old San Juan. The Casablanca theme throughout the hotel makes this a funky and charming place to stay. The staff were accommodating and the rooms, lovely, although small. The only drawback here is be forewarned, there is no elevator and the hotel has six floors. We were on the fifth and had to carry our 50 lb... More

I can't say I blindly chose this hotel because I have my fellow TripAdvisor reviews that helped my decision. The pictures I viewed looked good but does not compare to seeing the place for yourself. This is definitely the place to stay if you're looking for a wildly romantic setting. Not only are the bedrooms designed in that period flavor... More

Book at the last minute so we could play around in OSJ, this hotel blew us away like a bad Kansas song. We did a walk the the day before and found that the lobby is not just the coolest part. We we did rent a room, Gandhi was there in our room in triplet to greet us and we... More

My wife and I have been to PR several times and decided to do a quick trip to see the rain forest and explore Old San Juan as we have not done this before. We spent four nights at the CasaBlanca so we didn't rent a car(thank goodness). We arrived the last night of the San Sebastian festival and traffic... More

Friends and I stayed here for our last night in PR, also coincidentally the last day of Las Fiestas (a local arts festival/street party). The front desk allowed us to leave our bags prior to check-in so we could wander, but when we returned we had to wait for about half an hour before we could get keys to our... More

Dear km1372, Thank you for your review which in reading it sounds a lot better than the title! I was really worried when I first read the title of your review, I later completely understood that checking in on San Sebastian Festival is very complicated. We will make sure to have another agent for check in at the Hotel for... More

We stayed here before our cruise. This hotel is very unique as previous reviews also stated. I like hotels like this that really make you feel you are experiencing something new. It is centrally located in Old San Juan with lots to see and do. You can literally walk to the cruise pier which we chose to do (along a... More

Dear Aves839, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We love to hear how your experience was not only at the Hotel but in PR as a whole. The location was perfect and the room on the 5th floor was a hike but no street noise. The bath tubs were a cute pool alternative. It was a good value for the price. Friendly service and a strong bellman to carry the bags up amazingly quickly. Very clean, small room with a nice bathroom and shower. The air conditioning... More

Dear ChiMagMile, Thank you so much for your review! We are so happy you found our Hotel to be to your satisfaction, and we enjoyed very much reading about the fitness comment. It is true!
