We stayed a week in the Fortaleza Guest House. The location was great if you don't mind the loud reggaeton music at night. The rooms were decent and the price per night was good. However, the staff was extremely unfriendly. Impossible to ask them any questions and we often felt unwelcomed. more

This old style guest house located in the earth of Old San Juan is the right place to crush on for a couple of nights but without having the right to complain about something. For a queen bed in a very small room the rate is only $40 ($50 with AC), so it's definitely an inexpensive place to stay at.... more
