We loved our stay at Villa Herencia! The room was clean, cool, comfortable, and well-decorated. We stayed in H8 on the second level, which includes a private terrace, but also had access to the rest of the rooftop. The breakfast was included in the rate and was nice mix of continental options. We've stayed at the larger hotel next door,... More

I really wanted to love this hotel. It 8s located very conveniently and had such good reviews. However, the rooms other than the king size suites are tiny - I could hardly get my luggage around the queen size bed - and you can hear everything from outside your room. Because all the rooms open onto a small courtyard you... More

I recently stayed here pre cruise. This property was lovely, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our party stayed in rooms H8 and H9 on the roof terrace, the only two rooms upstairs, which allowed for extra privacy as the roof terrace was used very little. H9 was more like a suite with a large bedroom, sitting area and additional... More

I feel bad giving this place 3 stars because it was SO cute and in a GREAT location, but the room was so tiny and claustrophobic that it made the whole experience a bit uncomfortable. We had a lower level room which might have been the problem - the second floor seemed much quieter and more private. But our room... More

Dear AngieP1871, Thank you so much for your review! It's good that we know exactly how you felt, and specially if you couldn't get a good night sleep. We will go ahead and soundproof the room as best we can, work on the water pressure as well to make sure future guests are happy and comfortable. Please let me know... More

The essence of what a boutique hotel should be. No windows in my room, but the service, ambience, and decor made up for it. They even have a chandelier hanging from my rooms ceiling. The tiling made it rustic and the ceiling was wood drafts. It's close walk to everything.... Nightlife, shops, and ocean. The breakfast was good but quite... More

We were looking for a nice, yet convenient location to base ourselves for a couple days pre-cruise. We could not have chosen a more ideal property. Although December, it was hot & humid out, but we were greeted by friendly staff, a cool and very clean room. Our room (801) had a private balcony. Our bed was plush and fluffy,... More

We were greeted by super friendly staff (John) and upgraded to a nicer room when we told him we were on honeymoon. He told us all the best places to go in Old San Juan and Puerto Rico in general. The hotel is beautiful, and the location is perfect.

We were fortunate to have stayed here for two nights before a cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit small but the quaintness of the place makes up for it. Continental breakfast was just fine. Location in Old San Juan is perfect for walking to El Morro and you can see the Cathedral from... More

Great location. We had one of the rooms upstairs, and once you open the door you have a huge room. The room was beatiful, also a nice bathroom. We loved it and will be back without doubt. Very comfortable bed.

We stayed 1 night pre-cruise and it was the best experience of Old San Juan. We were greeted by one of the friendlist person that checked us in which was at an old desk and then given a map of old San Juan which he marked out points of interest and places to eat. We had no problem walking around... More
