My wife and I were once again lured back to the charms of Trident Villas late last month for some badly needed "just chilling mon". We found the facilities somewhat renovated since our last visit nearly four years ago with new roofs, air conditioning and furnishings since hurricane Ivan damage. The setting with the sea pounding over the ironshore outside... more

We have just returned from our one-week stay at Trident Villas with our two teenage daughters (19 and 17) and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute! The villas are private, beautifully decorated and well-maintained. The gardens are immaculate and extremely creative. Breakfasts are a delight of island fruits, fresh juices, Jamaican coffee and anything you desire - cooked to order. At... more

My husband and I stayed here for a romantic vacation and boy was it ever! Our Villa was elegant and clean. The staff knows the true meaning of hospitality. I loved the saltwater pool, the gorgeous grounds and the hidden cove. Dining was exceptional. We mostly ordered room service which is usually difficult but ours was perfect. I recommend dining... more

My wife and I had been to Port Antonio several times on vacation and wanted to have our wedding there. The Port Antonio area also offers so much in the way of short day trips so our guests (23) would have plenty of options from lying on the beach to trekking the rain forest. Our only problem with staying at... more

I just came home from a wonderful week at the Trident Hotel in Port Antonio Jamaica. The hotel was closed for a few months last year after hurricane Ivan and for complete renovation. Trident is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Our Villa had a lovely terrace overlooking the ocean - request Villa 7 - a must. We... more

I am a friend of the owner, Earl Levy, and when I went down to stay with him for about the 10th time I stayed in the Castle instead. I noticed that no-one had commented on this part of the hotel, so I thought I would let eveyone know that for weddings or a very luxurious stay, GO HERE!!! It... more

We were staying at the Jamaica Palace, and fancied a night out...we chose the restaurant at the Trident. BIG MISTAKE---for the first course we ordered the Greek Salad---one of the Jerk Chicken stands on the beach could have probably done it better...I don't consider shreaded iceburg lettuce, 2 olives, and a crumbling of feta a Greek Salad...for the main course... more

I visited the Trident Hotel from February 16-20, 2004. The furnishings are a little run down, but the view, grounds, service and meals more than make up for the well used furniture. The pool setting is so beautiful, right by the sea. The beach is secluded. I loved the old arch entrance to the beach area. Our villa was light... more
