Hotel mocking bird makes it easy to relax. My husband and I were impressed with the great food (organic, local, tasty), quiet and beautiful surroundings (especially their magnificent garden) and personalized service. The staff was friendly and attentive. The owners welcomed us and booked exactly what we wanted for our vacation, relaxing outdoor massages, trips to the beach, a tour... More

The Mockingbird is a very special hotel with the most stunning views. If you are lucky enough to have the private breakfast on the high rooftop get up early and enjoy every minute of the sea views and the birds. Just as special is dinner on the rooftop surrounded by candles. Staff could not have been nicer and helped us... More

It was a pleasure welcoming you especially knowing that you normally don't book hotels without air-conditioning and learning that despite the lack of it, you felt comfortable and really enjoyed yourselves. We are sorry to hear about and apologise for the fact that the mosquito net was not pulled down properly on the last evening and will go over the... More

The hotel is not just off the beaten tourist routes but is special because based on convictions about the environment rather than mere profit making. The owners are committed to combining excellence in food and service with implementing principles of conservation, recycling and minimal disturbance of the natural habitat.

Hotel Mocking Bird Hill is a boutique hotel with the best of service, delightful gardens, excellent cuisine. Shireen and Barbara dedicate themselves to helping you make the most of the beauties of Jamaica: Blue Mountains, rafting on the Rio Grande, Reach Falls, Frenchman's Cove, Winnefred Beach, birdwatching, all arranged with excellent guides and drivers. We could not have had a... More

The Setting ... a killer view overlooking the coast. We were torn between trying the Jamaican Style Tapas or going for the three course dinner. As this was a special treat, we opted for dinner, and were blown away by the inventive unique tastes that were brought to us. The Starter ... Orange Fennel Salad with an orange arugula (and... More

We spent a weekend at this hotel. It was simply wonderful. A warm welcome, friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean and a lovely comfortable room. We loved the little gifts in the room and the attention to detail, like the fresh flower arrangements. Shireen made great tour arrangements for us which we really appreciated. If you are planning a trip to... More

Woke up to an awesome view. Felt like I was on top of the trees!!!! Every couple needs to experience a relaxing night in this hotel...the country chocolate gift on the pillow made it feel like home away from home. As a Jamaican living abroad it was a nice welcome home touch of class!

This wonderful boutique hotel is the most peaceful place I've found in Jamaica. The staff is attentive and friendly, the grounds are enchanting - full of flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables and paths that meander through lush greenery. You can see why Jamaica's national bird (the Doctor hummingbird) loves this place and you will certainly love it too. The attention... More

We spent an Easter break at Mockingbird Hill. Not only is the property beautiful, the food & wine (and coffee) excellent, and the staff friendly and accommodating, but my husband's specific and unusual food allergy was addressed and catered to without it being an issue. Our 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. birding trip departures (guides arranged by the hotel) were not... More
