We stopped in to have dinner and hear the band. Our server was not friendly and our questions about menu items were barely answered. Service was slow as expected in Jamaica. We had to ask for more water. Initially I was given the wrong order. The food was a bit bland and forgettable. We didnt even stay for the band.... More

I just came back from Negril and already wish I was back there - Alfred's Ocean Palace made my complete trip ENJOYABLE - I was there every day - Could not get enough of the good people, the good food or the AMAZING BEACH - I was in awe of the atmosphere and the sunset you see from ALFREDS is... It is okay. Love the spot, but be aware that the live shows are very close by, so very Noisy, especially on those nights where the live show is at Alfreds. Food is good. Great for volleyball lovers brand new net there. Walking distance to get to atm machine or Time Square if i may say. Although i didn't stay... More

We headed out for some authentic Jamaican food we went to this restaurant, Sweet Spot, across from Alfred's unfortunately they were out of Jerked Chicken, so we went to Alfred's instead and what a delicious meal we had. The Jerked chicken was so delicious we were asking our waitress for the recipe, and the Caribbean Lobster was good as well.... More

I've stayed at Alfred's twice before and that could have been before global warming really kicked in. This time around, same room as before but unbearably hot and humid even with an extra pedestal fan in the room. Asked for an AC room in Alfred's own house after the first night and was informed the room hadn't been cleaned since... More

I recently spent 5 nights at Alfred's this past winter. Aside from the perfect weather, the location, music, staff and food were all good. What made my trip special were the other travelers that were staying there because we all got along and had similar interests and values. Alfred's is not for everyone. There is no TV or A/C and... after reading some reviews on this I decided to give this place a try. Ordered the French toast and hubby had a couple of eggs. Overall, the meal was nothing special. The French toast was dry and average at best. Not a great value either....Will not try Alfred's again...

The food and drinks were reasonably priced (meals from $5-$10) and tasted great. You can pay in J$, US$, Euros, etc. The service was one of the fastest we experienced in Negril. The view of the beach was fantastic. They offered free wi-fi which was an added bonus.

My wife and I stayed at Alfred's for 4 nights this November with another couple, and really had the best time. The rooms are basic, but it was just what we were looking for. We were able to get rooms right on the beach, and always felt completely safe, as we had a private porch that you needed a key... More

We went to Alfred's on a Sunday night. They have live music on Sunday's and the band was actually setting up when we left, but we all got a little too intoxicated to wait around. The bar staff was friendly and the place had a fun vibe. It's right on the beach which is also nice. We got the fish... More
