If you want to be where you can relax and explore this is probably just the spot. All inclusive vacations have given way {for me} to a much more enjoyable type of vacation. All ins sort of tie you down but a small place on the beach such as Alfreds can be an enjoyable and even much more exciting experience.... more

Been going to Alfred's 5 yrs. straight now and never think about staying anywhere else. There's nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean, the people great, and you're always treated like part of the family. Don't spend much time in the room anyway and you're right on the beach. It's not all-inclusive so you have to get out and explore.... more

I was at Alfred's in October of 2005, and I fell in love with the place. I could not wait to get back, so my last visit was March 2006. I think Alfred's is the best spot on the beach! It is clean, affordable, and as close to the beach as you can get. Cindy and Alfred are great and... more

What a great bargin, I have stayed there many times on my visit's to Negril. By far the best value on the beach. The rooms aren't fancy but comfy. the staff and qwners make you feel like family whie your there. There are hustlers but be kind and refuse and they usually leave you alone. I will buy them a... more

Visited Jamaica for the 1st time and had a wonderful time at Alfred's. Long walks on the beautiful beach, Great food at reasonable prices and of course the rum punch was always fresh and delightful. We enjoyed getting a true taste of Jamaica, but feeling safe at the same time. I do have to admit the hustlers were a BIG... more

Truly one the best spots on the 7 mile strip of white sand and crystal clear sea. The food is fresh and delicious. From sunrise to sunset, you will leave feeling refreshed. Each member of their amazing staff makes you feel right at home. The last privately family owned resort left in Negril; truly makes a difference. Incredible live music... more

I first visited Negril and stayed at Alfred's Ocean Palace in 1982. You won't find better hosts or a nicer beach with clean and simple close-to-the-beach rooms anywhere in Jamaica. Band nights are a lot of fun but the party goes on late into the night or later. The food is great and the staff becomes like family. more

Alfred's Ocean Palace is relaxing. If you want to have a real Jamaican experience this is the place to stay. Beautiful sunsets and Moon rises. They have a live band there playing 3 nights a week great fun, lots of people. Lee, Damien and Rudy just some of the friendly bar staff that make you forget the stresses of home.... more

I had the pleasure of staying there for 2 weeks. If you don't mind cleaning your own room and staying up late 3 nights a week due to the loud music this is the place to stay. They have a live band there playing 3 nights a week great fun lots of people. The staff was very friendly. They owners... more
