Stayed at the Tropical Bay from 3rd March for 7 nights. Had a room in Block 5. Although the room was spotlessly clean it was rather dated and there was the slight damp smell throughout caused by the humidity. Food in the Self Service restaurant good to excellent with sufficient choices and the waiting team could n ot do enough... More

We would have rated this as excellent were it not for a few staff members who's attitude fell way short of the majority of their peers. You either got the 90% of staff who were the most affable and welcoming people ever, or a few who seemed totally fed up and this was very apparent. Now for practical comments that... More

From the moment we arrived we dove feet first in top class accommodations. It was our first RIU vacation. It was recommended by our travel agent as we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year, we wanted to go for a more luxurious vacation than we were used too. It was perfect for us! Our room was perfect. Our... More

Arrived to beautiful Jamaica through Montego Bay. Customs can take a while and it's hot in there, so be prepared. We paid for private transportation. Well worth it!! $100 each way for two of us. We booked the transportation through the hotel. Jackson was our driver and he is awesome. We used him again to drive is in Negril. Check... More

We arrived at the MOBAY airport on Saturday 3/7, along with maybe (4) other flights. It took about (3) hours to get through the airport. The bus trip from the airport took about 1 3/4 hours. Kind of a long anxious ride but we knew that coming in. Check in at the Riu was quick and painless. Our room had... More

First time going to Jamaica. Awesome, The best words to describe our vacation there. From the staff to the food to the whole experience. Every thing was above our expectations. Riu Tropical Palace at Bloody Bay. I wish I could remember some of the staffs names because they were fantastic. I highly recommend this place, we will definitly be returning.

Spent a week at this hotel with my family. If you like a nice beach this is the place for you. Check in: No problem, we arrived early (12 00) but our room was ready so it was no problem. Desk staff friendly and polite. Room: We had an ocean front room in block 4, it was clean and the... More

My husband and I just spent a week here, and had a wonderful time. Getting to the hotel: As this was our second time in Jamaica, we knew that just getting through customs at the airport involved long line-ups and waits. We arrived on a Friday, which was much better than arriving on a weekend. Even after clearing through the... More

We stayed at the Tropical Palace for two wonderful weeks Feb/March. The resort was clean and well kept. The beach and ocean were absolutely perfect, calm, clear and clean. The food in the restaurants was great wherever we chose to dine. The buffet was always top notch. The staff were always helpful and cheerful. We needed to change our room... More
