Our party arrived 2/25/14 and were brought to room 408 and 407. That evening we went to bed around midnight and woke up at 8am to see our cell phone cords but no cell phones-then we noticed other electronics we had plugged in to charge that evening missing along with my purse. Upon opening the door to go to the... More

Nearly got put off by a bad review on here. I read it the night before we flew and spent the flight worried about safety and rude staff. It could not have been more wrong. True the hotel is basic (but we did not chose to go to an all inclusive we chose a more authentic Jamaican experience). The rooms... More

Everyone was so kind. They made me feel like I was family. I was catching a cold and the cook made me fresh chicken soup, "just for me." The maids were all kind. I loved my 2 week stay and I can not wait to go back to Summerset, real soon :)

My friends & family have stayed at Summerset for years & years. Very good accommodations for the money -- perfect for people on a budget & who want to get to know neighbourhood Jamaicans. REALLY good for large & medium groups. "Rude" is never a word I would use for Summerset. "Accommodating" is.

I spent 10 days in Summerset Village at the end of last year. I could not think of a better place to relax get a better perspective of oneself. The drive to summer set was beautiful; just sit back and enjoy the ride. When I got arrived I needed a nap from the flight in. The room was clean and... More

I am staying at Summerset, but looking to leave ASAP, I am leaving due to, too many problems with the Hotel, its Staff and Location! First of all the road that the hotel is on, is overrun by what appears to be prostitutes, drug dealers and crack heads! The hotel staff especially the only two maids on the property are... More

I stayed 5 nights at Summerset in March 2013 in a standard room w/2 double beds that faces the garden. Here's the breakdown of my experience: Pros: air conditioning works well, sheets were clean, and there is a working tv. Cons: Of the 5 days that we stayed at Summerset, there were 4 days during which we experienced a lack... More

Stayed for two nights. Petronella, the manageress, was very welcoming and her staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and airy, although a bit dated. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was nice and made the overall package very good value for money. The grounds had lots of fruit trees, which unfortunately were not in season... More

We end up to stay one month at Summerset. I wasn't ready to leave the place, as I was really comfortable. The staff, including Petronella, were all welcoming and nice. Our room had great light, was clean and decorated with flowers by the cleaning lady. We had all we need, including inside bathroom, TV refrigerator, two large beds, balcony. You... More
