I stayed here on a sprng break trip in college. This was a nightmare from hell! Whatever you do, do not stay here. No sheets, no shower curtains, no air condition, gross completely nasty!!! Had to shower in the pool show becuase the water shut off. This is a VER VERY SAD SAD excuse for a resort. It is a... More

The staff is just not helpful and incompetent except the maids which are always smiling and provide a good service. The resort itself is not very fresh and old but very intimate, in the jungle side and it is very relaxing, just in the front of Negril Beach.

My second stay at Gardenia resort was the best yet. Richard and his staff take great pride in making sure your stay is acceptable for you. The rooms located in the rear of property are the best choice well suited for the most relaxing and quiet. Some rooms are condos and others are standard rooms that are excellent for my... More

I spent the last 3 nights in Jamaica here after being on the road for 5 days. I was really pleased with this site and would definitely go back. The staff was very responsive and sweet. Plenty of clean towels but we asked them not to change the bedding every day to save water etc. We enjoyed the breakfast in... More

I'd like to think I am a very reasonable person. I am by no means picky. I frequent Jamaica often, 2-4 times a year and have stayed in accommodations from 4&5 stars to rooms with no TV or internet and in the middle of nowhere. I will say if it weren't for the tolerant and patient staff I would have... More

Nice pool!! Helpful staff, safe! The manager is amazing and most accommodating. Beds are amazingly comfy, rooms clean. Sister arrangement with Sea Wind is great - super staff and restaurant also. Will return soon!!!

I stayed here Feb 20-24. The room were so outdated. There was no running hot water. I think i got hot water on my last day of stay there. The food was not good. They only had a selection of a Jamaican breakfast and that's it. I would suggest leaving the hotel to get some variety. The only good thing... More

I stayed at the Gardenia for a week on my own. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I'm glad to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I arrived late after 12 hours of travelling and was shown to my room, which was on the first floor (I was given a choice of a ground floor or first floor... More

At US$100/- a night, I had expected more. Rooms are dated and the bathroom has this awful smell that you had to bear with it each morning and night. We tried to spend as little time in the room as possible. It would be nice to have a nice room to just unwind after the day. I would also not... More

I'm usually an easy going person when it comes to budget hotels. However the Gardenia is a poor place to stay. I actually gave them a chance because I saw them on the Travel Channel on the show "Hotel Impossible " (their episode by the way is available on the Travel Channel website). I made my reservation on the hotel's... More
