The two of us stayed at Tamarind in February 2008. We intended to stay only for one night but added one - and would have added even more, if time constraints wouldn't have made that impossible (we were on a counterclockwise round trip of Jamaica and had to be back at Kingston only four days later). This is the perfect spot if you want to go back to a peaceful and beautiful place after a day in the beach. The place is well maintained and the grounds around the house are very green. The rooms are simple but spacefull and in good taste and some have a wonderful view. The meals are a bit pricey but... more

We were told the room would be US $75. Surprise surprise an extra 10% was added for "Service and "Hotel Tax" when the bill was presented. Why on earth couldn't they have quoted the proper price in the first place. Their web site says rooms at US $65 and breakfast at US $10. You will have to pull teeth to... more
