I spent 10 days staying at the El Greco hotel. After reading several of the reviews on this website and others I was extremely nervous about our arrival. However, I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were greated kindly and received good service. There is a $60 required deposit -- you will be surprised by this if you didn't... more

My finace and I were given tickets to Jamaica for a graduation present and were on a tight budget, so we chose the El Greco. We really enjoyed our stay here. The resort is very limited to what you can do. There is one swimming pool, 1 restaurant , and 1 tenis court. So, needless to say, not alot to... more

The place's biggest value proposition, that they had an elevator that got down to the "Hip Strip" easily was complete garbage, as the elevator was out of action for the 3 days we were there. When we went to figure out how to get down there, there was a shuttle offered which they said ran every hour but in reality... more

My sister and I stayed at El Greco in July 2007 and we had a good time. It is a budget hotel, so don't expect luxurious conditions. We paid about $110/night (including daily breakfast) even though we went during Sumfest when hotel prices in Montego Bay generally go up. It's up on a hill above the Hip Strip, with easy... more

I came to Mo'Bay to visit my boyfriend who lives there...he claimed it was one of the best hotels. Well we obviously have different definitions of that cuz not only was I sharing the room with my boyfriend but also the many, many ants that resided there as well. Besides the serious ant problem, the walls were chipping, the kitchen... more

This is our second time at El Greco. The first time around was good. This time it was even better. We stayed in a two bedroom villa, (two en-suite shower/bathrooms) and loved the feel of the place. It was so bright and spacious. Next time we stay there I will definitely make use of the big kitchen and cook my... more

We went to the El Greco a couple of years ago with my teenager kids, husband, and sister. Always wanted to write a possitive review. We all loved it. This is not an all inclusive but did have an excellent restaurant, pool, and was close to the beach. We wanted to explore different restaurants in Montego Bay not just stay... more

I did not know what to expect at El Greco but the moment I was greeted at the entrance I was glad to be there. The staff was friendly and answered any questions I had. The room was small but the living space was spacious with cabinets, bartop, balcony, and telvision. When a problem persisted with my phone, they were quick to... more

I have traveled to Jamaica for several years and visited Mobay, Ochie, Negril and Kingston. (some of the hotels I have stayed at are Pegasus in Kingston, the Riu chain in Ochie and Negril, the Royal Decam and the Holiday Inn in Mobay) I recently returned from Mobay...and I stayed at the El Greco Resort for 11 nights this time... more

Avoid if possible, Main entrance was flooded to the point cab drivers would not go through. I was left at the elevator entrance about 200 yards and 5 stories away with all my bags. Walls were dingy, bare, and in need of some new paint. They made me wear a yellow plastic bracelet for the free breakfast. As for the... more
