On arrival at the hotel on the 5th February, we were given a very warm and friendly welcome with all the staff saying "welcome home". All the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Check-in was exceedingly speedy and we were taken to our usual room very shortly after our arrival. It was nice to see all the... More

My wife Brenda and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary and our 41st anniversary of meeting each other as teenagers. Coyaba Beach Resort exceeded our expectations! The resort, location and staff helped make our short week more than a memorable occasion. Each year we vacation in the Caribbean and choose smaller "boutique" resorts....under 100 rooms. Coyaba resort and there hard... More

After not visiting Coyaba for 11 years, we were hopeful this tiny oasis in busy Montego Bay, Jamaica was still as lovely as ever... and it is! The rooms, decor, hospitality, and comfort are all still top notch. The meals, especially the breakfasts, were not as interesting or well-prepared as with the previous chef, but that was the only dip... More

This smaller but characterful hotel greeted us warmly with cocktails and cool towels. Shown to our sea view room and was really delighted with it. It had a large balcony and a lovely sofa area inside. It had every thing we needed and was spotlessly clean. I can truly say one of the nicest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in.... More

So is the definition of the Arawak word. Coyaba Beach Resort, 15 minutes east of Montego Bay fits the definition perfectly. Just returned, (regrettably) from 3 wonderful days at Coyaba on 17 Feb. Our second time, we plan to return soon. Very peaceful 54-room hotel with a wonderful staff and delicious, hot local cuisine. Our highlights were the welcoming staff,... More

This is a medium sized hotel where the check-in was very friendly and easy. We had a car that we were able to park in the grounds. There is always a security guard manning the gate to ensure that only guests enter the premises. There are different wings of the hotel and we were in a room on the ground... More

We have stayed at Coyaba Beach Resort several times over the years. The resort is showing a little age but is still nice. The food at the restaurants can be rather pricey. If one is a big eater, they might want to consider the all inclusive plan. However, we have tried both options and found that we could not eat... More

After less than a week of the mad hustle and gluttonous bustle of an all-inclusive resort, we snuck away to this privately owned boutique hotel. Elegant colonial feel, clean and comfortable rooms with a stunning view of the sunset. The private beach is small but really all you need - though it did get a touch buggy in the evening.... More

Business trip. In many ways I like this small hotel, it does have a colonial feel in the main building but try and get a room in one of the newer blocks at the back. Noise is an issue with a busy main road just outside - 24 hr trucks - alled to the nearby airport. Food is ok but... More

The hotel is not like the big 'posh prisons' you usually see. We felt like we were in a fine dining restaurant in the small intimate Vineyard Restaurant or at The Docks seaview restaurant where either one or the other was open each night. Waiter service and a choice of menu including delicious lobster one evening. Breakfast menu was extensive... More
