My husband Kevin and I were married on Sunday May 4, 2008 at HalfMoon Resort in Rosehall, Jamaica! Our wedding was an intimate family affair. Every detail was perfectly executed by our Half Moon Romance Coordinator, Diandra. She helped us create a beautiful wedding that reflected exactly what we imagined. Throughout our planning/wedding Diandra proved time and again that she’s... more

I was not sure what to think of the country as a whole as i had heard of negative expirenceses. I was so glad to be recieved with the most open arms of any country that we have vistited in years( and we travel a lot!) all the staff was wonderfully and very polite and wanted to bend over backwards... more

We were very disappointed!. The villa (94) was located in the back of the resort; far away from the beach to walk. A lot of traffic noise can be heard from the room. No internet service in the rooms! What kind of 4 star hotel does not have internet service nowadays? The tv was old and the remote did not... more

This was our fourth visit to the Half Moon and we had a wonderful time again. We stayed in unit 156 which is on the western side of the property. It had a fairly large shared pool with one other attached unit. It had a comfortable living room with an enclosed walled garden, a seperate bedroom with another private courtyard.... more

Like many others, we were worried about planning a wedding from far away. We live in Maryland, and invited 55 guests to our wedding at Half Moon on April 20th, 2008. It was fabulous!! Our guests arrived Friday, we all went to the beach bbq and had a private area there with open bar, then on saturday, everyone played in/around... more

Was at the Half Moon in Rose Hall from 4/17/08 - 4/21/08. Expensive - but loved it and wouldn't stay anywhere else if back in Jamaica. Very relaxing. Location: 10 minutes from Montego Bay airport. Used hotel trans. Wouldn't venture from hotel without organized hotel group. Jamaica fairly rough outside of resorts... Atmosphere: Resort casual - stayed in swimsuit and... more

My family and I went to stay at Half Moon Bay because my father had some business in Jamaica and we thought we would make a little holiday out of it. We chose Half Moon Bay over a few choices mainly the Ritz because they had the villas with private cook, and butler. I have a 2 year old son... more

I like to report on my trip to this amazing place; we got in a level4 Tornado last year but eveerything worekd extremely well, including the clean-up and the stay in the conference center for one night. Kids thought this good fun. This ressort has clearly the following advantages a) LOCATION a site selected from a former plantation, which is... more

We have just returned from Half Moon. It was a nice experience. Overall, probably the best resort in the Montego Bay/Rose Hall area. With almost 500 acres of private land & beach, you never need to leave the resort. There is an ample amount of ammenities. (something for everyone) Horseback riding, Dolphin encounter-for guests only, Bicycles,Golf, Tennis, fitness center , snorkeling,Glass bottom... more

This resort is easy to get to and safe and a great option for families who want to stay together. The villa option is the only way to go here, in my opinion. I would not stay here otherwise. With the villa you get a chef, butler and maid and a private pool and 2 golf carts. The cooking and... more
