We booked in and there were no towels floor was messy no mat on the bathroom floor. There was a stove, no pots,2teaspoons, 2 saucers, 2teacups, 2forks and 1knife. The room service person gave us 1towel saying they are short on towels...can you believe this?...no wash rags, we were out of water for hours. I got upset n said to... More

The room was just average; a little dated but not bad. There was a stove, refrigerator, and pots and pans. Although they advertise a continental breakfast, it was more than continental in the American sense. The eggs, toast, and meat were actually cooked-to-order. Staff were friendly. The location was in a good area of Kingston.

Firstly i'd say that rooms and staff are good. The room service was very slow, even after several calls to reception. The on line site promoted a gym, jacuzzi and pool, but the gym was three old exercise machines located in a corner by the pool. The jacuzzi was filthy and unused, and pol had not ben cleaned for age. We found it very disappointing as... More

My boyfriend and I needed to spend some well deserved "quality time" together and he chose Christar Villas Hotel for the occasion. Christar Villas' location is perfect, literally surrounded by attractive sites, especially with Sovereign Center 2mins walk away. The Staff members are courteous and I felt a sense of welcome whenever I interacted with them. I have yet to... More

Was in Kingston with my bestie for a few days in July. Location is great, rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful; love the family setting at Christar. Shopping was just up the block and I could get my favourite TGI shrimp just down the road (great TGIF in Jamaica!). We had a little problem with water... More

For the price this isnt a bad place to stay with a couple of exceptions. Most importantly is the water problems. Guests should not have to guess when the water will be on and when it will be off, there should be an announcement letting you know whether you will have water to shower when you return after a long... First off this place is terribly understaffed. One attended to serve lunch and take orders for about 20 of us. The rooms were all weird and stained. Breakfast needed to be ordered at 5am to get it in time for 7 or 8am... So was lunch. The limited staff were all grumpy since they were so over burdened. The lunch... More

This is an old property. I'm talking ancient. It is understaffed - I literally waited 2 hours for lunch at a balcony with blistering temperatures. This hotel would make sense at US$30 a night, but it's criminal if you pay more than that. To be fair, rooms are clean (bathtub had weird stains though). Food arrived at long last and... More

Stayed with two girlfriends for two nights in June. Felt really safe. Location is brilliant. Shopping mall across the road, Devon House really near by. We went to watch the footie, the boyz lost! Also went to see the Caribbean Fashion show all within a good distance from hotel. Hotel is good and great value for money. We had a... More

We rented 2 rooms here when we came to Kingstonin January. It is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping and UWI. It seems like a safe neighborhood for walking around. I would stay here again next time I come to UWI or to explore Kingston. The free breakfast was delicious and filling. The a/c and hot water worked for us and... More
