If traveling for business to the center of Kingston, then the Jamaica Pegasus is the hotel to choose. The facilities are adequate although the service is poor. The pool is large and rarely busy. There is a nice jogging track that is also rarely used. Food is ok but trying to get it is another issue. Same food at different... more

Stayed for almost a week for business in Kingston. Warm, friendly staff - all very helpful. Clean, spacious rooms with nice little touches like great views, free internet, bath salts and turndown service. The food was EXCELLENT. Loved the 24x7 Cafe and breakfast buffet at the Country Kitchen which was open air to the pool and gardens. The Columbus restaurant... more

I have stayed at the Pegasus a few times. And always in a standard. Actual rooms are quite dated, old fashioned tea/coffee station with kettle in each room. TV is very 80's style with several US channels of differing reception. Sockets/electricity supply in Jamaica is the normal British system (240 volts, 3 pin plugs) so British travellers will be at... more

Everyone says this is the best hotel but if THIS is the best... i'd hate to see the worst. Rooms are small. BAthroom is small. If you're tall you'll hate the shower. The 28 inch 1988 TV needs to be updated. And there is only ONE electrical outlet. I wouldn't stay here again. more

Just got back from Kingston, Jamaica. Stayed at Jamaica Pegasus hotel. It's an OK hotel, rate was not too high. It's about 20 minutes from the airport (with no traffic). The check in was fast, the front desk staff are helpful. Gift shop is really small, I went to gift shop in the hilton instead (walking distance). Walking around at... more

I stayed in the Pegasus for a week in November 2008. Its location is quite central in the business district in Kingston. There is a park opposite the hotel which may not be too safe at night. There is a jogging trail within the hotel premises which is secure. The outside of the hotel is well kept but I was... more

My wife and I stayed for over 1 week on business. We stayed in a suite; which was basically 2 connecting rooms with one furnished as a livingroom. The check-in was good, and service from the front desk throughout the stay was good. The room was OK. Even though it was supposedly a "renovated room", you could tell it was... more

When in Jamaica, I frequent Montego Bay and always do the Ritz Carlton. This Pegasus stay was an unexpected pleasure. The staff was phenomnal. Dining was more than adequate, and if you ask for Charmaine (the front desk manager)... all your stay will be more than a pleasure. I found this hotel secure, worthwhile and enjoyable. There's also a Casino... more

We got upgraded which was nice - the hotel is undergoing renovations at floor 4, so we asked to be placed as far up as possible. Pool was great, breakfast was great. Tennis court + jogging track was great. The view of the Blue Mountains was nice. Everything else was average. The rooms were comfortable - the minibar will not... more
