The Villa Creole is rebuilding nicely after the earthquake. The internet now works wonderfully. The rooms are as comfortable as ever and the staff is very nice. The menu remains quite limited (two entrees), but the two choices always tasted great.

I stayed here for 3 weeks for business. Was consistently impressed with the friendliness and professional service by the staff. They were starting their post-earthquake renovation when I was there (7/2011). Their kitchen/food options will be limited until that is complete. have used the HVC over the years since the 60's and it only becomes better without sacrificing the great tradition and culture of the original concept of service and design. Anyone wanting a "difference" should stay at HVC at least twice. Frantz, the GM, and all of the people there, are simply a treasure of kindness!

I just spent a few days in Villa Creole. I was very pleased. The location is away from from the hustle and bustle, a very peaceful retreat. The general manager Frantz Rimpel was extremely accomodating and so was the staff. Overall a very peacefuI experience. I would recommend a suite if you are staying in any Haitian hotel.
