It is a shame that the owners of this hotel have let it run down. It would not take that much money to fix such things as leaky plumbing, torn curtains, paint the walls and clean the floors, and wash the mold off the shower curtain. The internet went down and it took them several days to fix it. It... more

A genteel resort hotel in the Pétionville suburb on a mountain above Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It directly overlooks a large downtown park. From that location, you can see Port au Prince below. Cleanliness is excellent; maintenance is generally good though we noted a few problems which were mostly minor: loose doorknobs, lamps with shades not securely fastened to the lamp harp,... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Kinam during our visit to Haiti earlier this month. This was his first trip to Haiti, but I had stayed at the Kinam numerous times over the past 20 years, although for the past 5 years I have stayed with a friend on my visits to Haiti. This trip I was dismayed to... more

I stayed at the Kinam for a week in March 2007. This is an older hotel that was probably pretty nice in its glory days; unfortunately, those are long past. I was in two different rooms during my stay. Both had that 'permanently dirty' look about them (particularly the bathrooms) and it seemed that in general there weren't any standards... more

I stayed at the Kinam this summer for 2 weeks and re-visited the Kinam only to dine in the restaurant this December. When I stayed there this summer I had to change rooms a couple of times because the rooms were like little prison cells. The first room was really only something to sleep in but since I was planning... more

We brought our whole family, our children are age 17-31, our family is Canadian and Haitian decent. The Kinam Hotel was perfect for all of us. We spent alot of time on the terrace over looking the pool and using the pool for mostly evening swims. It was fantastic! With lots of areas to lounge around the pool. The rooms... more

The bathrooms did not smell very fresh but they looked clean, the comforter on the bed smelled very bad we had to take the comforter off the bed and put it in the closet so we slept on only the white sheet. I told one of the gentlemen at the bar that we needed more ice and he told me... more

I can't think of any downside to this hotel. Great location, great price, great facilities (both rooms and common areas), and great service. Have stayed in some of PAP's more expensive options (such as the Montana) and actually preferred the Kinam. more

My wife and I stayed at Kinam last September for 5 days after leaving Haiti for 6 years. The service was excellent and I will definitely recommend this hotel to other people. more

I have been to Haiti 15 times in the past 23 years. I have stayed onvernite at Kinam, but I have eaten at Kinam several times. The hotel is elegant and the food was outstanding! Since I normally go to Haiti as a missionary, I stay with a group at a guest house, but if I ever had the opportunity,... more
