As it was beginning of French schoolyear, some of the featured sports and activities were unavailable - because the people who run them were vacationing after the peak period! Most unpleasant surprise was closing of the swimming pool for complete renovation. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay more

I love this resort and have stayed multiple times. I have been to Club Med every year for the last 11 years. However, today, four days before my departure, Club Med called to let me know that the resort is closed because of a island wide strike. I was supposed to leave on February 14 at 7am. I was informed... more

I write this knowing that for those families who are watching their pennies after the crash, and want their dollar to count.  This trip put me off Club Med. The Basics: We are an American family of four, from NYC.  One daughter age 6, and a son age 9.  Not really sporty but enjoy snorkeling. The room:  We stayed in... more

Being an at least 10 times Club Med holiday traveller, I have checked TripAdvisor before going for these vacations. Among enthusiastic votes and rather unhappy ones, I have mostly read into those who had prior Club Med experience. And now that I have returned, I have not encountered anything I should complain about. The GO team has been very friendly... more

Great place. Wonderful beach. Fantastic sailing. Great atmosphere. Very good buffet. We had a fantastic time. Some jelly fishes in the sea... Some rooms needs refurbishing but that's planned for next summer. The suites are great and big. The circus team is great. Flying trapeze has a lot of success. The staff is very friendly. I would go back definitely. more

STAYED: JULY 4 TO THE 21ST, 2008-07-30 5 ADULTS, 1 9 YESR OLD, 1 2 YEARS OLD. ROOMS: we split, 2 garden views room and 1 Marie Gallant sea view room. If you can spare the money, stay at Marie Gallant. It was definitely worth it. Being a very early riser, the view of the beach at 6 am is... more

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews. We have been to a few other Club Med's and have NEVER been disapponted. Guadeloupe was beautiful. There was a bit of a language barrier as most spoke only French but everyone was friendly and we had a reallly good time.It was very laid back as compared to other... more

We had a great week in La Caravelle. Much better than what we had expected after reading recent reviews. We were more or less afraid to go after all those harsh words about the food. Actually we found everything absolutely edible, some things were not outstanding, but you always could find good stuff on the buffet. The raw fish was... more

Three of us (2 adults, one chile age 6) stayed at La Caravelle from March 8-15, 2008. Coming from Toronto, the weather was great, and we adults speak some French, so the language was not really an issue. Positives - the beach is probably one of the best in any Club Med. The water is clear and there was no... more
