After some difficulty in finding Ty Glyn we received a warm welcome. However we were very disappointed with our room. It was in serious need of updating; stained, peeling wallpaper & a lack of furniture. A double room which had a bedside table on only one side of the bed & a wardrobe, nothing else! The bathroom again needed modernization.... More

Attended a wedding at Ty Glyn on 8th October, being a local I expected high standard from previous comments. The food and location was excellent, very friendly staff and plenty of parking. We drove past the place several times and finally noticed the faded signs. At arrival we had to wait a while to be able to check into our... More

I recently attended my graduation ceremony at Lampeter University, we stayed overnight in the town. The night before, my husband, son and friend went to Tyglyn for a meal. It was very enjoyable, well-cooked and served, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the view over the grounds was entertaining, watching the rabbits playing in the distance. I'd recommend Tyglyn... More

The Tyglyn hotel was poorly signposted from the main road but once we found it we were welcomed efficiently. The hotel is surrounded by peaceful quiet countryside and a garden. The room was clean, well-furnished, with a high standard shower room although there were no biscuits with the hospitality tray. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast... We stayed at TyGlyn while working in the Lampeter area in March 2010. I'd heard excellent things about the quality of the food, and I can certainly back that up - it's tremendous. I'd thoroughly recommend the chef's special chicken curry, it really is quite delicious. The room quality was very much on a sliding scale, it's quite obvious that... More

I am very surprised that Ty Glyn has not got more reiews on this web site. Ty Glyn was the venue for our Daughters wedding reception, the hotel is lovely set in a quiet valley. We all had a fantastic day, the food was excellent and the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. All our guests were looked... More
