My husband and I just returned from our one week stay at the GBP Cayacoa. We stayed there from Oct. 25 - Nov. 1. We had read reviews of the resort prior to leaving and for the most part they were very good. This resort did not dissapoint, it was everything all the positive reviews said it was. We went... more

We stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa from October 18-25 2009 and thought it was great. There were a couple points I think could have been improved upon but nothing major and nothing that would prevent us from going back. GOOD NEWS: We did not get sick and did not know anyone who got sick either! Hotel and grounds:... more

My wife & I stayed at this hotel earlier this month and had 2 great weeks of pure relaxation in the sun. Our idea of the perfect caribbean holiday is good food, good weather and not having to set the alarm clock in the morning like the other 50 weeks of the year, and this is exactly what we got... more

We stayed for 2 weeks here and it was lovely, the service, staff and food was great. Clare the rep was also helpfull. Unfortunatly we had a few problems, firstly wrong seats on the plane which will complain to thomson about, 2 cockroachs in the room, tummy upsets, lost laundry, lack of evening entertainment. Is definatly not a 5 star,... more

Just arrived back from this wonderful resort. The location, views, weather, people all were fantastic. This is a small high energy resort, however if you want relaxation and peace and quiet there is also a "quiet" pool and beach. The food was very good lots of variety and presentation was amazing. We went to all three a la carte, our... more

We loved everything about this hotel. Great food, wonderful variety, the pool was amazing with great staff at the bar (especially Zunilda). The room was gorgeous with some powerful A/C. We only did the gourmet restaurant but loved it and went there for 3 nights. The town is close with hourly shuttles, but the shopping experience was a bit odd... more

Hi, we went there on the 4th of October 2009. It was simply "THE BEST HOLIDAY OF OUR LIVES". We enjoyed it so much. The atmosphere is so friendly, every single person gives you very warm welcome together with an excellent service. The hotel is very very nice, rooms are big and extremally clean. Food in the restaurant is excellent... more

Plus points: Very clean, good variety of food, nice rooms, good restaurants, lots of activities, good weather, spaced out resort - so not that busy Negatives: Food never hot, not all staff overly friendly, constant pressure from staff around the main pool and beach to participate in games (6 a day), men with guns in beach - slightly unsettling, liklihood... more

This is the first time that we have gone all inclusive, and were very impressed. Our first encouter as we departed the airport, was the infamous Claire. This woman hasn't really found her true calling in life as a holiday rep. She'd make a fabulous traffic warden. A coach trip of around an hour takes you through the localities, where... more

had read many reviews regarding this hotel prior to going but after booking, for all those that did bad reviews then you must be looking for a palace but only willing to pay 5 star. any one can take photos of flaking paint and a debris on the beach. but they were trivial. the hotel and holiday was fantastic. 2... more
