My husband and myself spent a week at the Riu Palace with 3 other couples and had a wonderful time! We have stayed at "all inclusives" before but this was new to the other couples. The service was excellent and everyone was helpful and smiling. If you know a few words of Spanish, it helps with the general staff but... More

My two daughters and I stayed at the Palace over Christmas for a week and had a great time. Food - For the Dominican, above average. Make sure you try the a la carte restaurants. Don Manuel is the main restaurant and does get a little repetitive over the week. Avoid the salads w/mayo, they tend to stay out a... More

My wife and I stayed at this Riu from January 2 to January 9 2009. We travel every year and both of us agree that this place was just excellent in every aspect. The service, the smiles, the restaurants, the room, everything was more than we expected. We will defenitely come back here.

Me and my husband spent a week at the Riu Palace in October 08 for our honeymoon after getting married in the Dominican Republic (Ocean sand/Blue Golf and Beach resort) in May. We noticed the Palace during many walks down the beautiful beach of Bavaro in May, and after seeing how stunning it looked we decided we'd come back for... More

The good: The Palace was amazing from the layout, the staff, to the options you have just by staying at the Palace. Because we booked with the RIU Palace we got an arm band that allowed us access to all the other resorts, while only Palace guests were allowed at the Palace. Instead of staying at one resort we had... More

We were guests of the Riu Palace Punta Cana from December 20, 2008 to January 3, 2009. My sister and her family joined us from France as did my mom and dad and together we celebrated both Christmas and New Years. The check in at the Riu Palace was great. Though our kid's room wasn't next to ours Raymundo at... More

Pictures save a thousand words - look at www.egryn.net and see for yourseves. At first I saw this Island as Paradise and still think so but for those who live there you have visible poverty, half built roads system, houses and appartments standing empty waiting for well off tourists and tin huts standing next to tin huts where the locals... I hesitated writing my review after reading some of the others, especially those with complaints. My husband and I were first given this trip as a gift and had never been out of the country or away from the kids in about 24 or so years. We arrived and truely felt as though we were in a palace. We also... More

This hotel (rooms, food and beach) is quite fine with the staff being very friendly yet slow, so exercise some patience. My only complaint is the pervasive ambient cigarette smoke produced mainly by the European guests. A note for golfers: the nearby Punta Blanca course is very good and of excellent relative value with a junior rate such that there... More

What beautiful accomodations. The staff and people of the Dominican were wonderful, respectful and helpful. Smiles were plentiful. Most spoke English very well. I had no problem understanding them. Knowing a little Spanish helps. If you go there tip as appropriate. A few dollarrs here and there go a long way for them and they certainly work hard and long... More
