We arrived on Sunday. The rooms were muggy due to the humidity, and not having dehumidifyeir in the room caused the clothes to smell mildewy, and 2 of the 6 rooms rented had bed bugs. Beds are hard. Service, besides the pool bar and lounge bar, and the scuba caribe, was a non existent word until 3rd party surveys were... more

We have travelled several times to All Inclusives in Mexico but this was our first time to Punta Cana. We found this resort to be among the best we have been to. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating. The resort itself is majestic .. the lounges, lobby, restaurants, everything. The rooms were very clean and roomy and the... more

Just got married here on 6/6 and the coordinators Magnolia and Julianna were great to work with. Maria did my hair and makeup and she did a SUPERIOR job..love you for that Maria :o) They upgraded our room on the wedding night and the room was out of this world wonderful! The resort looks exactly as it shows online and... more

let me just say that for months prior to our trip I read every conceivable review of the resort. i read how people thought that the art was rude, how they thought the employees were rude, they complained the pool was to warm, they complained the entertainment was boring and redundant, and that the food was marginal. all i have... more

When reading some of the reviews, we have difficulty in comprehending what people are expecting! We read about a terrible transfer from the airport to the resort - and this is the resort's fault? We read about the musty smell in the rooms - Spend a bit more, get a suite, enjoy your holiday without smells and restrictions! We read... more

The only reason we went was to attend a wedding. I read the reviews and most of which is written is true. The down side to the Riu Palace is the moldy smell and humidity in the rooms. When people said the bed feels wet it is and there is no getting away from it. What helped a bit was... more

A friend and i decided to stay at the RPPC after seeing the Riu Palace in Mexico. The resort was beautiful and the service was excellent. All you had to do is ask and they would do it for you. When I arrived the overhead fan was loud. I called the front desk and they sent someone right away to... more

Our outbound trip to the Riu Palace was totally ruined by the disorganised arrangements made by our tour operator<thomson holidays>however on arrival at Punta Cana we had to put all that behind us and get on with enjoying our holiday. The driveway up to the hotel.and the entrance/foyer area is very impressive,we were checked in,no problem at all,and our suitcases... more

After expressing to friends who were travelling with us how important it was to book a good 4/5 star hotel in the domincan we were very disappointed with the Riu Palace Punta Cana. Having travelled around the caribbean we thought we would try the Riu hotel as the brochure highlighted how grand and impressive this place was. We can honestly... more

The Hotel is very beautiful but has many, many flaws. The good things: 1.Super- Friendly Staff 2.Very Beautiful Lobby 3.Good Service 4.Great Beach 5.Big Pool The Bad: 1.They turn off Air Conditioning in the Middle of the night and in the middle of the day. Therefore its very hot usually. 2.Rooms have moldy and humid smell. Sheets and pillows reek from... more
