We arrived in Punta Cana on December 1st and are staying at the Presidential Suites. My husband and I have travelled numerous times to the Carribean and very much wanted to experience the NON-inclusive life in Punta Cana. We enjoy cooking, cleaning .... doing our own thing without having the "luxury" of tour guides, housekeepers and waiters (not to say... More

60 bucks for a room was OK the rooms are not very nice but the A/C worked and had a fridge. No hot water, has terrible beds and old sheets, pillows and towels. I guess for the price it was OK. Get what you pay for. Had a decent pool and wifi internet in the lobby. Close to the beach... More

stayed here a week, then was forced to move!offered room cheap and nasty to left of pool, odd size beds, rough wool blankets, no toilet seat, cracked sink! was told to stay in there one night, then would be moved, said as we had paid up front via internet, they knew we was arriving. so therefore should have decent rooms!... The Hotel room was large with 2 double bed a fridge and TV and its own patio with table and two chair. Bathroom had shower with hot and cold water. Bathroom didn't have any mosquito nets so we got lots of visitors into the room. luckily my better half bought insect spray so we got to kill them every time... More

Did not want to go all inclusive, and found this great hotel at a great price. Booked though the internet and paid £35 per night for a large room, with two small double beds and a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. The hotel has a faded grandeur about it, and looked like it once aspired to greater things. But the... More

Following my husband's advice, we headed out to find this 'amazing place' . We arrived in the early evening, and the sun was still out. Well... the lobby was dark and foreboding. The staff was much too casual. We were handed a key and told to go check the $60 per day room. 'Go behind the pool, the building to... More

If your on a budget and want to stay in a no-frills place, this place will suffice. Since we were traveling to several areas and not sure how many nights we needed, decided to stay at El Cortecito Inn instead of staying in one of the resorts. Check-in was easy, the manager was friendly, the place looked clean and a... More

My husband and I have stayed couple of times at this hotel. It is right across the beach (150 mts). It is very inexpensive and if you just want to get to know punta cana and spend most of the day at the beach you can save a couple of bucks by staying here. However, this hotel is defintely not... Cortecito is a friendly, funky little village. The Cortecito Inn is in a park like setting with extremely high security around the clock. Not directly on the beach, though. Our room was kind of average but inexpensive. Staff was friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was nothing short of outstanding! All the fresh mango and pineapple juice you care... More
