We spent in this guesthouse 2 nights, 1st one on arrival, 2nd one on departure. We have a nice stay. The property is really nice, the owners are helpful and friendly. Same restaurants, bars and markets for drink and food are near there. You can reach a beach in approximately 15 minutes driving with motochonco (motorcycle). The only thing which... More

I stayed 2 weeks in the guesthouse. The place is perfect for travellers who are looking for this special place. The rooms are wonderfull, clean and you feel wolcome right away. The diners are just awsome, lila is a really great cook and want nothing more than please the guests. If you are looking for a different place to stay... More

So glad my friends and I stayed at the guesthouse las piedras as it really allowed us to see the real friendly and lovely culture of the Dominican. Lila, David and Florian were such great hosts and will forever be remembered for their lovely house and cooking! I would recommend this to everyone wanting to have a real DR experience... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful time at the Guesthouse Las Piedras. We enjoyed the experience of the location, the room with the balcony, and the opportunity of Lila taking us out dancing. The breakfast was a perfect way to start each day and the information shared regarding places of interest of travel was valuable. The grocery store located... More

What a place. Built like a conquistadors castle, everything here, from the turreted walls to the grand, wooden doors, looks like it was built back when Columbus landed. Incredibly it’s actually a new build. We only stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer – everything was clean, well presented and you felt safe inside the compounds courtyard. Our... This guesthouse is unique in its architecture. The whole place is built out of stones. There are alcoves and a huge wall of stone surrounds the property. At the entrance, there is a huge metal sliding door that is always locked for our protection. There is a open concept courtyard , veranda and kitchen .In the middle are plants and trees... More

The area, though not on the beach, gave me a taste of the elusive local non-tourista flavour of DR. Not being a fan of the all-inclusive experience, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming cozy guesthouse with so much character. Lila and Florian are warm and wonderful hosts and went out of their way to help me out when... More

This is a charming B&B in BAVARO, which is not Punta Cana, but very close. It;s about 15 min from the beaches via motoconcho (moped). Lila is a great innkeeper. She and her family, including 3 kids, live on the property. They are adorable. I enjoyed my stay. Will come again

There was a heightned sense of awareness only because looking for a place to stay outside the mega resort arena that is Punta Cana (PC) is not easy. I know. I travel. Google searches, a little VRBO with a Trip Advisor back can get you a semblance of what you can find good and bad about anyplace. Or at a... More

I am fortunate to have come to know the DR first on a trip to the Samana Peninsula. I highly recommend that region as it has a more balanced in terms of locals, B&B's, time shares and the OCCASIONAL resort. El Cabito is a magical place to have dinner in Las Galeras. But, in PC for a cousins wedding at... More
