We returned today from our trip to Melia Caribe Tropical. We went with out 9 year old son and another couple. Hotel staff and service were excellent. All very friendly accomodating people. The grounds were stunning. Very well kept and beautfiully designed. The room was medicore. The bathroom could have been cleaner and more updated. We did not take the Royal service upgrade, but stayed with the std room, maybe that was the mistake. Me and my husband injoyed this place so much. We got the royal service so worth the money. U don't have to wait on line to check in. it also has 14 restaurant. 2 big pools but the royal service u have ur own pool. it also has a great night life. the shows are great. more

Beware of staff trying to sell you timeshares!!!!!! If they ask you if "checked in yesterday" say no or you'll get suckered into doing a VIP or Melia Club Member orientation.
