this resort has somewhat of a split personality. the grounds are luscious and well kept, expansive and often breath-taking. but some of the original hotel rooms and casitas need updating. we had a two bedroom casita fronting the beach. we were charmed by the open air style of the living areas, and the bedrooms and baths were attractive and very... more

A friend of ours was getting married at this resort. Since the price was reasonable, we booked a week’s stay. We have been to Punta Cana, DR, several years ago and stay at the Rui Palace, which was a pretty good experience. We knew this resort was not all inclusive and was up for trying out all their restaurants. Our... more

I have never felt compelled to write a review..until now. I will start with the positives: The people working there from the maid, to the server, to the bar tender were phenomenally friendly and kind. Everything take a bit longer but that is to be expected in the DR. The beach is beautiful as is the water. Kayaking, windsurfing (if... more

I will never go back because the service was the worst ever. The bartenders could not make drinks on their own drink menu. They tried to charge me for a dinner I never ate. I ate one meal with no napkins or ketchup, because they were out of both. We had to fix our own toilet because no one ever... more

My husband and I just returned from a 10 day stay at the Punta Cana Resort and Club. Just like the other reviews which I had not read before we left I agree the beaches are great and if you like breakfast you will have many choices but the overall attitude, staff knowledge, room ambiance are horrible. I would be... more

The good: The pretty grounds, the ocean. The bad: The tasteless and cold food, the rooms, the faulty AC, the lack of towels, beach chairs, no golf carts available to rent, having to wait for the shuttle, the screaming children in pool by the spa, broken glass all over the beach at the golf house. Took at least an hour... more

My husband and I have stayed at the Punta Cana Resort and Club 5 times in the last 6 years. We think of it as a little piece of heaven. It has beautiful beaches, a wonderful golf course, and attractive landscaping and architecture. We swim in the Caribbean, in the swimming pools, and in the unique crystal clear fresh water... more

I am not the type to write reviews, but felt compelled to for the sake of my fellow travelers. Rooms a disgrace in the "casitas": broken toilets, broken AC, had to take headboards off wall to close blinds, no blinds in some rooms. No refrigerator or cooking facilities in the "kitchen". Resort food awful. Not child friendly. Reserved things that... more

We arrived at the Punta Cana Resort & Club on November 4th, 2008 for my neice's destination wedding. After reading many not-so-great reviews on Trip Advisor, I would travel first for myself before taking other reviews at their word. Since it was our first time in the Caribbean, we didn't know what to expect. The airport, being very small, was... more

We just returned from the Punta Cana Club & Resort. The place is beautiful and kept very clean. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with punch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We stayed in a junior suite which was more than enough room for 2 people. Each morning we had breakfast at the buffet which... more
