We booked this trip through Luxurylink.com and it was such a deal that we expected the experience to be at least a little disappointing. But it was flawless. Even shockingly wonderful. The hotel is gorgeous and stylish, the food was incredible. The service was over-the top. We had a dinner on the beach one night and returned to our room... More

This was so nearly the perfect break. The hotel is inside a gated resort community about 20 minutes from POP airport. The gated community known as Playa Dorado has around 16 hotels and a golf course. All of these hotels, including Casa Colonial, share the same stretch of beach which the whole resort is built around. Casa Colonial is by... More

Dear all, First of all, we would like to apologize for the bad memories you have about your stay with us in November. Evidently you did not spend as a good time as you expected to. We would like to detail a few points of your review. You had dinner in our Lucia restaurant, which is by the way a... More

My wife and I returned from CC on March 6th after spending 6 nights there while looking at purchasing a winter home nearby. First came to this area 30 years ago while serving in Peace Corps nearby. Love the area and love the people! We come back to DR yearly and anted to check out the north coast again. We... More

The Casa colonial was indeed a nice exception among all the all inclusives surrounding it on both sides. Rooms are elegantly decorated, and public spaces as well. Beds are super comfortable! The only minus was the spa; it is big and elegant, but the treatments were highly over-priced. A very average facial, 50 minutes, would cost 130 USD + 26%... More

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and the service was excellent! We were disappointed that it rained most of our trip, but the hotel, food and service made up for it! The concierges Freddy and Carlos made sure that every wish we had was taken care of, and even upgraded us to the penthouse suite for the duration of our stay!... More

We just returned from Casa Colonial, where we stayed for 6 nights to escape our dreadful Canadian winter. The hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels brand, and is quite beautiful, modern, and very comfortable. We had a room with a large private balcony on the third floor, overlooking a large pond. We had a great sense of privacy,... More

This hotel is outstanding. We came for a quick three night getaway from NY and it was perfect on all fronts. The rooms were so comfortable, great beds and bathrooms, all very clean. The service at the hotel was wonderful, very friendly and consistent throughout our stay. We equally enjoyed the beach and the pool. The set up on the... More

I have stayed at this property at least a dozen times and each time it gets better. The staff is courteous, polite and always very friendly. The rooms and spa are of the highest caliber and the food is about as good as you can get in the Dominican Republic.

Wonderful romantic quick get-away. Exquisitely designed hotel, friendly cooperative and attentive staff, excellent food, excellent spa treatments. My husband and I are travelers - we have been to the 7 continents and to many of the world's top hotels. Our vacation here ranked among one of our most favorites. We even swam with the dolphins (yes, it was in a... More
