I stayed at this hotel the week of July 2nd. The staff was amazing, the service spectacular and the food was very delicious. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quality place to stay in the Dominican Republic.

My boyfriend and I just spent 3 lovely days at Casa Colonial. The hotel is beautiful - the rooms are very spacious and the staff was generally extremely attentive. Although the beach area is well kept and pretty peaceful, I wouldn't say it's the most amazing beach ever. Every 3 minutes someone comes over to try to sell you something,... More

While the property is very nice and the room was actually quite good (bar a few inoperable elements, but none serious), there is way too much downside for the place to charge the rates they do ($500/night). First and foremost, the service is TERRIBLE - slow, unaccomodating and dismissive. A few of the women were good - the men for... More

I recently visited Casa Colonial with my girlfriend (we are in our mid-twenties) and had an incredible four-day stay. The accommodations were even nicer than the website had led us to believe and we were pleasantly surprised by the high level of service we received. The restaurants were phenomenal (one restaurant is for breakfast and the other is for lunch)... More

There is no doubt the premises are beautiful, and the rooms are amongst the best I've ever stayed in, so let me start off by saying that. But with that being said, I think there are much better values to be found in Playa Dorada. The hotels next to this one (Gran Ventana, Occidental, etc) are nearly as nice, are... More

The only thing I can say is Casa Colonial is a complete disaster. The hotel looks like a bad copy of great hotels such as "The Delano." It is cold, white, boring and you have seen it a million times before. The "luxury" hotel is smack dab in the middle of Playa Dorada, a complex filled with VERY low budget... More

A beautiful and intimate resort; prefect for a romantic get-away. The bedroom and bathroom was large, well decorated and comfortable. The hotel was very clean and the grounds well maintained. The spa was very nice. The hotel staff was attentive, especially the Beach Staff who also provided an added sense of security. There was a variety of interesting foods on... More
