Super nice staff. We arrived very early one morning and our room was not ready, so they fed us breakfast and secured our luggage for us while we went and site seeing. When we came back, they gave us the great room on the 3rd floor that had a great view. Now the hotel can be a pain to find... More

This was a great hotel located just two blocks from the first cathedral in the Americas. It was quiet, and the rooms were very clean and have a quaint, colonial feel. The air conditioning was awesome! I really enjoyed the free breakfast and the people working there are very friendly. I will definitely go back!

This hostel is righ in the historical distric with walking distance to mayor turist sights. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The administration was responsive to any concerns we had. They actually were professional at solving an incident and gave us an extra night for free. The sourroundings were quiet and plesant. Free water bottles and constant refills. Professional service.

Portes 9 was the highlight of my experience in Santo Domingo. The location is perfect right off El Malecon that runs along the ocean. Some of the other reviewers said it better than I can, so I'll reiterate hondo8's observations of charm, personality, and the lovely Victorian styling with Caribbean flare. I was lucky and had the chance to peak... More

Located in the Zona Colonial within easy walking distance of almost all the major historic sites, El Malecón, Calle Conde, China Town, Mercado Modelo, etc. Portes 9 looks over a tiny city park where you might find locals engaged in a spirited game of Dominoe's, enjoying a meal and a beer, or simply taking a break. Super easy access to... More

What a lovely hotel this is. I travel a lot and it stayed in everything from 5 stars to 2 star hotels. When I first came into the hotel I was surprised at how much character there was. it reminded me of a San Francisco Victorian house.. with a touch of Caribbean flare. when I got to my room I... More

We had a booking at Coco Boutique this weekend. I emailed the hotel to confirm our arrival and the email bounced. I went to the hotel website and it had disappeared. At the very least, they could have emailed customers with reservations to let them know about the closure. We are at the Hotel Atarazana right now and we are... More

That's very unfortunate and we're sorry for your experience. We acquired the place in 2013. So we had no control over operations in 2012. Please rest assured that we're here to stay and every reservation with us will be honored. Check the newest comments to see that we're doing our best to keep everyone comfortable. Thanks! Great location for walking & exploring. We enjoyed a delicious dinner & a game of scrabble on a rainy evening. The hotel is very pretty & comfortable & we were very happy with it. Highly recommend Coco Boutique!

Enchanting little old town colonial style villa with only 4 rooms. Best location to explore the colonial zone of Santo Domingo.
