We stayed at this B&B for two days in September before going to Punta Cana to spend the rest of our holiday at the resort. Airport transfer cost us 30 $ and it took half an hour. Hotel itself is very cosy and nice. Rooms have metal frame beds that are very comfy and huge :) Everywhere is very clean.... More

This little hotel is a little pearl. The decor is kept in an ancient style and together with a nice tough of quiet classical music in the common areas it adds to the nice atmosphere. The common areas are chilled and the wifi functiones, which also make the hotel stand out from other similliar hotels in the area. Friendly staff... More

El Beaterio is tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of the Zona Colonial. You are engulfed with the calm, peaceful, quiet atmosphere as soon as you walk through the beautiful old doors. The property is immaculately preserved, with minimal but tasteful landscaped in the courtyard. I stayed here for three nights and loved every second of it.... More

This little hotel is in the Colonial District in Santo Domingo. The rooms are small and and not to many but the hotel itself is enchanting. It is very old. It was previously a convent for nuns. There is a courtyard in the centre of hotel where you can set and enjoy a drink and relax. It is very private... More

Stay there for only two nights but everything was perfect. Lovely staff, good breakfast and everything good in zona colonial is within walking distance including El Malecon. Tips: there's a little market where you can buy beer soda and water on a good price.

I had stayed in a more expensive old colonial hotel in the Colonial Zone, but much preferred El Beaterio. It was friendlier. It also fits with one of my unashamed preferences when picking hotels: an old place renovated with its character left intact. It's small and that is a part of its charm. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the old... More

My friend and I stayed here 7/18/14. I opened a tripadvisor account just to give this place a good review! The rooms are beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The lobby looks like a museum. The rooms are comfortable and the wifi works well. I highly recommend it and will come back myself!

El Beaterio is a lovely, intimate yet modern refurbished place to stay in the centre of Santo Domingo. The building with it's history as an old nunnery is beautiful, but it has been converted into a hotel in the most tasteful and lovely way, with a sociable entrance with historical artifacts, window seats where you could imagine nuns for hundreds...
