I have used this hotel since about 1980. For reasons I really cannot understand, the sevices in this hotel have changed dramatically over the years. About two years ago, I made a reservation in that hotel and when I arrived I was told that I did not have that reservation. I explained that I came from Texas, USA, and that... more

Santo Domingo hasn't any beach for pleasant time. Beaches are miles away. So... Napolitano Hotel, on the beach side ? Ah ah ! Napolitano is located in front of the sea but just above the Santo Dominguo main road. All the room are small, noisy (or very noisy), above the (little) swimming pool and the bar (whit orchestra at night...).... more

I just spent a week at the Napolitano. I have never experienced such incredible friendly service starting from the manager, the people at the reception and the ladies cleaning my room. It felt better than being at home. Great idea to have live music every night by the pool, especially for those who are tired and do not feel like... more

The worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are dirty, beds hard, cheap sheets(not even fitted to bed), toilet didn't work, no clock or radio in rooom. The staff is unprofessional and unknowledgable about anything. The only thing about the hotel that was nice was the outside restaurant. I would not recommend or ever stay in this... more

Out of the 3 other hotels i've stayed in while visiting santo domingo, this wasn't a good one. The hallways are very dim,the beds are hard, and the tv was a 13 inch.. Not to mention that the breakfast was terrible and you can't charge food from the restaurant to you room.. more

Where do I begin? My parents and I had just gotten back from driving FOUR hours from Punta Cana, it was very late at night, and we were tired as heck. We got to the hotel where it took 15 minutes to check it. I have no idea why it took so long. When we got to our hotel room... more

After planning my visit along with a native Dominican co-worker from Santo Domingo, I went alone and had a ball! I am not one for gambling my cash away and so stayed out of the casino. The pool is adjacent to the restaurant and the bar/lounge which features live entertainment all of which is situated on the 2nd floor just... more
