The good: Breakfast on the rooftop with plenty of fresh fruit Central location Friendly staff Old colonial feel Balconies The bad: Bathroom had plenty of random hairs (which were clearly not mine) No hot water for the shower Both of these should be easily preventable! So like I said: mixed feelings

I picked my hotel based on location and free wifi. We could walk to most of the attractions and shops from the hotel. It's a little small, but we had a balcony and it has a pretty antique look to it. Very cute. I like the noise at night (small construction outside). When we arrived we were given a DELICIOUS... More

The hotel is perfectly located close to the main square, has had recent renovations and was priced right. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, the staff was cheerful and eager to please which all made for a great visit to Santo Domingo. With that said our first room left a lot to be desired. The first room we checked into... More

We stayed at the Europa from August 25th thru the 30th. We had a wonderful stay. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a balcony view and we thought it was delightful. The staff was helpful when ever we had questions. The location is one block away from 2 banks, close to Chinatown, it had a little convenience store... More

After days in Samana, this hotel was expensive/awful. Rooms are very noisy and bedding had holes, towels were so old and yellowish. Not what expected at all specially for that price. Do not get rooms just near the lobby, too much noise!!!

The hotel is very convenient to the old section of town. Just a short walk. Problem is all of the road construction which the hotel can not help. A previous writer said they felt unsafe. I disagree. I walked around by myself and never felt threatened. People approaching were annoying but that is the way it is around here. The... More

We arrived early afternoon and checked-in, and were handed glasses of fresh melon juice as a welcome! It was a nice touch, and the breakfasts are great. Thankfully we had a room away from the street side, which meant very little natural light but no noise. The main street in front of the hotel was completely dug up and in... More

I stayed in this hotel 4 nights in January 2014. Room was quite fine but dark. During our stay there were street works, a lot of noise and vibrations. It was dificult to rest in the hotel, but we didn't sit in it. We visited colonial zone. The location is very good, because is very near Plaza Espana and Cathedral... More
