This hotel is a real gem in the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo. It is small, only 6 guest rooms, but every area of the hotel is beautifully decorated with much love for detail and it is absolutely spotless clean. Both staff and owners are super friendly and very helpful in a natural and unobtrusive way. The breakfast was great... More

Dear Guests, thank you so much for your great reviews over the years. In the second part of March the construction site opposite our hotel entered a new phase and turned from partly molesting to incompatable with a hotel operation. The actual surrounding conditions would make it increasingly impossible to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay so we decided to... More

We always stay here at the beginning and end of our DR trips and find it perfectly suits us. Nice rooms, friendly staff, extremely convenient but out of the really busy area. A short walk and you are in the centre of the Zona Colonial. It really feels like home and I can't imagine a trip to Santa Domingo without... More

Hotel is situated in a nice location with main attractions and restaurants close by. We were there on a Monday morning and some road construction outside was a nuisance. Staff was pretty friendly and resourceful. They also were smiling a lot. Rooms were ok. Beds were comfortable. TV was very small, but this isn’t a hotel you go to if... More

I decided to write this review while I am still here. First I must say that this place is a best kept secret. They are very friendly the place is located next to a police station so as far as security is concern you have no problem. each room has a flat screen tv the rooms and the hotel is... More

If you’re planning a trip to the Dominican Republic and you’ll be staying in Santo Domingo for one or more nights, you should consider staying at the Hotel Atarazana. We stayed here two nights before our Caribbean cruise in February 2014. With only six rooms, the hotel is small, and more of what I would call a Bed and Breakfast,... More

The hotel is situated in the colonial district of Santo Domingo - it's quite hard to find- our taxi driver struggled. It's an old building given a cool contemporary make over whilst retaining some original features like the checked flooring in reception and the rooms. It's what I think is classed as a boutique hotel and I wouldn't argue with... More

More

We booked Hotel Atarazana because it was #1 on Trip Advisor. The booking process went smoothly and we received prompt responses to each of our emails. From the start, we felt welcomed! The staff arranged for Jesus, who speaks perfect English, to pick us up at the airport and he was standing outside customs with a sign. It was less... More

A recent DR travel report in the german TV ( WDR Wunderschoen) featuring this hotel reminded me of my overdue review. Very small hotel ( more like a boutique B & B ) with unique design and a great personal touch. We especially enjoyed the fresh and healthy breakfast ( with german multigrain bread and the best hotel coffee ever!!!)... More

Hotel Atarazana is a great option for Santo Domingo. Its right in the middle of the Zona Colonial all the sites are at easy walking distance. The rooms are really comfortable and spacious enough, we stayed in a two bed room with a nice balcony that we could relax in. Breakfast is delicious with great coffee, served in a really... More
