First, the location of the Caribe Colonial was the best: in the heart of the Zona Colonial just 1 block from the First Cathedral of the America's and 3 short blocks to the Plaza Espana and the Colombus House. In my search for gay-friendly hotels in Santo Domingo, I finally landed on the Hodelpa Caribe Colonial. I was charged $80 per night. The location is great.
