Nice hotel with comfortable rooms, and good places around to see, shop and eat. The historical area is amazing and interesting. The hotel's restaurant is not big deal, around you'll find good places to enjoy.

Hotel is located in the heart of the Zona Colonial. The hotel grounds were average, they have a nice terrace for relaxing. Rooms all have different themes, mine was a 60s groovy feel to it. Breakfast was okay, nothing to talk about simple yet fulfilling. There was some construction directly in front of the hotel, however this did not interfere... More

I stayed for business from April 20 to 24. The room, in the first floor, was very plain, actually not cozy, Good cable, just acceptable Wi-Fi, Very clean room and bathroom, the bed was just OK. There is no drinking water in the room, and an empty small freezer. At arrival they did offer a glass of sparkling cyder (which... More

Spent one night here with my partner. My comments: -The area is under considerable construction, and everything was in disarray for several blocks. This will probably be cleared up by June 2015. -The room we stayed in was clearly an old kitchen. The layout was weird, power outlets were misplaced, and it felt a bit cramped. -The location is clean,... More

I absolutely love this Boutique Hotel! My stay at the Hodelpa Caribe Colonial Boutique Hotel was from March 9, 2015 to March 22, 2015 for business and pleasure. Although there was a great deal of construction going on around the hotel (not the hotels fault), I thoroughly enjoyed my lengthy stay!! My room was very clean everyday. The entire hotel... More

This place was a clean place to stay at the colonial zone. Not fancy but very acceptable, the hotel has an amazing location, close to all the things you might want to see (it was a shame the colonial zone is under construction and it was a nightmare to park and walk around). The staff was really nice and helpful.... More

I stayed at this quaint boutique hotel from 02/26/2015 to 03/08/2015. There was construction going on outside the hotel. Although this was somewhat of a challenge, it's not the hotel's fault, and the hotel staff was willing to walk your suitcases the 2 blocks or so you had to walk in order to access the hotel. Even though the construction... More

I am an American expat living in Santiago so have come to accept many of the nuances of life in the Dominican Republic. I have found the Hodelpa hotels to be a preferred choice when getting away for the weekend, but Colonial was a disappointment and front desk staff offered no compensation off the rate for the challenges. This tidbit... More

Our Mission Trip participants stayed in this boutique hotel on two occasions, coming into the country, and leaving after our Mission was completed. The Caribe Colonial is centrally located in the old colonial district, within walking distance and many fine restaurants.
