A world of difference and evolution best explains my second and extended stay at the Casa de Sanchez Apart Hotel in Santo Domingo. In just a few short months the property has developed and continues to grow into its own. I certainly enjoyed my first say that was much shorter and limited in scope and expectation. I so enjoyed my... More

We stayed at hotel Sanchez for 2 months and we never regretted a second of it. We were in Santo Domingo for business purpose and the location was perfect for that. The hotel is straight in Zona Colonial and all the nice things to do are all at walking distance. This also counts for the biggest supermarket. There is 24/7... More

Stayed 7 nights at US $50 a night. Upgraded from the standard room to the suite on arrival as it was vacant. Jonathon is English and extremely helpful. Suite is more than OK and it is very easy to spend a week here. Room is modern, well furnished and cleaned daily. Double bed, sofa and table in sitting area and... More

I stayed here for four nights with my boyfriend. We were the only guests at the moment so we had the kitchen and everything for ourselves. We had booked the lovely turquoise suite because our friend was going to stay one night with us. When we asked Jonathan about the sofa bed, he thought for a moment and then gave... More

I stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed it, it felt like a Home from Home, just what I was looking for. I compared the prices with lots of other places in the local area but I felt that this hotel offered more for the money. I liked the fact that there weren't any extra charges for using the... More

I was at the Sanchez Hotel for five nights. Jonathan is a very kind person and he really wants you to have a great stay, but still there were some issues. The hotel was being expanded and that produced some noise. Doors can not be locked from the inside and there is no way to signal you don´t want to... More

Thanks for your suggestion, we are now fitting locks to the inside of doors. I just wanted to respond with a few comments. Firstly, regarding the mosquitos, during Hurricane Sandy we had torrential rain for three days and subsequently there are a lot of mosquitos everywhere. We have fumigated twice and we also provided mosquito swats and spray - thankfully... More

I stayed here for a month with my sister from April to May 2012. I had a really good experience here. Jonathan, the owner, met my sister and I at the airport and drove us to the apart-hotel. When he is in the country, he lives in the house next door, which was especially convenient for him and for us.... More

I was here for 10 days with my mother in a vacation/business agenda. We simply love this place because is close to everything and safe. The big rooms bring the flavor of the old Colonial City with all the right stuff to meet today's needs. The Sanchez Hotel blends the English elegance of the owner,Jonathan; with the friendly and great... More

After a pleasant flight from New York, the General Manager and her family were waiting for me at the airport and drove me to the location. The Sanchez is a notable up and coming property on the Boutique Apart-Hotel scene in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. While very much in its infancy stages in service, decor and ambiance, it... I stayed here for one month with my sister and we both really liked this location! We felt especially safe since there was always a security guard at night and during the day we walked around alone with no worries at all. It's located in Zona Colonial right by the Conde(The oldest street in Santo Domingo with lots of shops... More
