When on business, we don't ask for much. A quiet place to rest, and good wifi. Now we know that we also need electric sockets that work with modern working tools. Between us coming to the El Embajador, we had two Ipads, two MacBook laptops, one HP laptop, and one Dell laptop. Of course we all had phones. None of... More

Dear Mr. Jimbo 551, Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you experienced during your visit to our hotel. Sometimes guests have trouble with the outlets in the rooms because our property has conventional US electric outlets, which can be incompatible with European electronics. We do offer our multiple power strips in our Business Center that clients may use... More

The hotel deserved 5 stars in the 80'. The breakfast is amazing, the service is excellent , the wi-fi works great; the rooms are old but clean. It is situated 10-15 min driving from downtown but the cabs are cheap in DR. More

Sleeping is a pleasure, comfortable bedrooms, a delicious and unique breakfast. The personal is well-prepared and gives excellent service, very good entertainments, you can feel a category environment and located at the very center of Santo Domingo. The most important thing is that everything is inside of the area, you have no need of getting out of the hotel to... More

I was in the hotel last week, and still a very good hotel, lobby bar excellent, superb attention, rooms are old, but good, Wi-Fi was very good. The location is also great, there are a few restaurants close the the hotel ( 1 block) so no need to fight the Santo Domingo trafic if you do not want, and trust... More

When planning our trip to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic we didn’t have any idea what kind of accommodation we wanted to stay at. A resort would have offered us a beach and all the trimmings however on the other hand we also wanted to explore the city and its surrounds. We ended up deciding against the resort option... More

Somewhat old fashioned hotel, large rooms, excellent conference center in a tent-like structure with daylight (other rooms in the hotel itself have no windows) and very good air condition. Good catering, including the buffets for larger parties. Spare enough time for the historic center, the governor'spalace is one of the finest museums I have seen, every single piece a masterwork.... The Pros: Free WIFI throughout the hotel. Room is clean and very large, beds comfortable. furniture in the room older but it works and fits the overall historic feeling of this hotel. Air conditioning in the room worked very well. Large walk in closet with safe. Breakfast at Los Porches offers a very good selection. Overall staff of the hotel... More

I am a solo businesmann traveller, staying during all my visits in the same hotel in Santo Domingo. This is the seventh, time. The rooms are large, also the bathroom, have a private balcony, LC TV and a working area including free WiFi. The location is not in the center, so for shoppings you ought to take transportation. Personnel is... More
