When we first walked in the hotel, I was impressed. The lobby looks great and it makes you think of how your room will look like. Once we got to the rooms, that was another story. El Embajador is an older but well kept hotel. Service was good, stayed on upper levels, food and restaurant service was good. Internet access, clean. more

It is an older hotel, but well kept. Room was plenty big. I think more attention is given to executive floors, but it was still good. Staff, service and food was great. I really liked the location and it was quiet and tucked away from the busy streets. Would definitely stay again. more

Wow, for me the best business hotel in the Dr is this one. Normally my company sends me to the Jaragua, which I hate. but because of an overbooking, they sent me to the Occidental El Embajador. I spent two nights in El Embajador in Santo Domingo...I felt the hotel was old (53 years) but the service and the restaurants make my trip worth while...it's very elegant and has and old-school charm to it, also the casino is very nice and the people move seamesly in the background creating a great overall experience. more
