The staff in the reception make me feel at home from the very first minute I arrived to the hotel. Nice rooms, and convenient location. I strongly recommend this hotel when you stay in Santo Domingo. Special thanks to the reception team: Rubali, Jose, Leyni and Rosigna.

Business trips to visit DR government. This was the "government" hotel. It was not American but was very DR. It is an older hotel and if you are looking for an American place, .... this is not the place for you but if you have a hint of wanting to see what DR is like,....give it a try. It was... More

Nice hotel. Even though is one of Santo Domingo's oldest hotels, they have renewed. Rooms are clean, service is nice, parking available, good for events (they have good conference rooms) nice disco and generally nice atmosphere. Right in front of the Caribbean sea and easy access to airport.

When I first arrived at the hotel it did not seem much from the outside, but once inside this is a beautiful hotel with excellent customer service. Their restaurants served an amazing food and breakfast is amazing. Must stop here again.

I am a Peace Corps volunteer here in the DR and this is the hotel that Peace Corps uses to put us up when we're in the capital. Most of us stay here on our own too. They have regular rooms (1 or 2 queen sized beds) and bunk bed style rooms for groups of backpackers or travelers. Hotel is... More

In the Dominican republic, it's possible to do better than this hotel does for the price. Everything is OK, some things, like the breakfast buffet, are better than OK, but for the price customers are entitled to expect a little better. The rooms are not bad, mine was certainly large enough, but with very little light, and a strange shape... More

As a woodworker, loved the expansive use of hardwoods. My wife and baby also like the spaciousness of the rooms and the staff was very friendly and kind to us, with opening doors and lending help even fixing natural fresh squeeze juice for our 9 month old. I hope they reuse the- now hard to get and expensive hardwoods by... More

The hotel needs a renovation (it may have been great 30 years ago). Rooms are horrible, full of dust, carpets full of stains and not even attached to the floor anymore. Wall papers are full of stains, furniture is old. And I've seen many rooms. You can't open the window and there's no air circulation in the halls as well.... More

I have stayed at much, much worse for much more money...especially in the Caribbean. If faded grandeur is what you want this is your place. The hotel was empty so I guess I was given one of the balcony rooms overlooking the Malecon. It was huge. Everything worked-- TV, WiFi, Shower, AC (with a vengeance). Absolutely no complaints. It would... More

I was booked there for my business stay in Santo Domingo. Large outdated business place, full of local visitors, in conference and the like. OK but need some modernization and far from Old City. I would have prefer a renovated old Inn downtown.
