We booked the hostal for 1 night when we arrive in Santo Domingo. It is located in a beautiful area, but around there are only loud discos. The restaurant at the rooftop is very nice, good food and the service is friendly and quick. More

This little hostel is managed by a young Dominican-French couple who go out of their ways to make you feel at home immediately. The location is perfect, everything in the centre is within walking distance, the rooms are clean with private bathroom(hot and cold water) and adapt to everyone's needs, and you can have breakfast,(sometimes the cats of the family... A super place to stay right in the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo. The staff are great and will really help you in getting around the city and even out of it. They'll arrange airport transfers as well. A great stay indeed! More

I stayed there for only one night in February 2010. Located in the zona Colonial, it's clean and close to many historic attractions. There's a terrace bar on the roof and that night there was a "show" with a lady dancing 'Balati' (an arabian dance) The owners are nice people who also speak french. And prices are very affordable. I came to Hostal Nomadas for the first time last year (2010) while taking a break from work in Haiti. Ever since I've kept coming back since there's simply no other spot that offers equal value for money. You can't beat it for the spot: it's located in one of the Zona Colonial's prettiest streets, almost right next to Las... More

We spent two nights at Hostal Nomadas, one night each before and after our trip to Las Terrenas. The hosts were super nice and very accommodating... especially since I screwed up the date of our arrival! Our flight got in late at night, but in my pre-vacation haze I had made reservations for the following week. Thankfully there was space... More

Highly recommended among my friends!, located in Zona Colonial the center of activity in Santo Domingo. Secure area and surrounded by a safe atmosphere, close to lots of restaurants and bars that you can walk by any time. Best impression: the owners of the hostel! friendly young couple who will make you feel comfortable and help you with any question... More

This is a really nice place to stay in the colonial district of Santo Domingo, only a few blocks from great sights and good restaurants. The first night we stayed there, I planted myself in one of the comfortable sofa chairs located on the roof top bar and restaurant and took in the great view of the city as latin... More

Really.. for that price, you can not get anything better in Santo Domingo. Nice owners, clean, and a feeling of security. Perfectly located in the heart of Zona Colonial. The roof terraze is a lovely place to get your breakfast or dinner! I stayed in another place before this and payed twice as much but it was not half as... More
