My wife and I chose Dominica first because of its natural beauty, but we were sold by the sustainable and socially responsible operations that Sam & Glenda have created. The staff were almost all local and were all amazing and helpful. They were genuinely happy to see you and were glad to discuss their family, politics, or just their favorite... more

Where do I begin?! Everything at Jungle Bay, from the customer service to the daily excursions was absolutely fantastic. My new husband and I recently returned from the resort after an 8 night stay for our wedding and honeymoon. Glenda, the owner, was amazing and helped me to plan the most beautiful wedding ceremony. She successfully captured the epitome of... more

This place is incredible. I was with my family of 6 (parents both 60, kids 19, 21, 23, and 25). We are a very adventurous family so all the hiking was great for us. Definitely be prepared to break a sweat everyday. Both my parents happen to get a stomach bug on different days while we were there and the... more

My husband and I visited Dominica in October 2008 for the Independence celebrations. Missed the real celebrations by a week but there was still a lot to do. Transportation can be arranged from the hotel, manager picked us up. Arrived late, restaurant stayed open late so we could have dinner. Beautiful log cabins with view of the ocean. Outdoor shower... more

Coming from Europe it was quit the trip to Dominica but I can tell you that Jungle Bay made it all worth it. They gave us the best time of our lives so far. It is by far the most beautiful location we have ever seen. The combination of relaxed members of staff and the beautiful scenery made this visit... more

We really enjoyed our stay at Jungle Bay! It was so hard to leave the serenity of the resort and the activities Dominica has to offer. I loved the rooms - individual cottages tucked away on a forested moutainside overlooking the ocean. The sites and sounds from the room are so relaxing. We purchased the adventure spa package so our... more

Jungle Bay Resort and Spa is by far the most pristine, secluded, and unforgettable resort in all of Dominica. I researched several others in the Rosseau area and found them to be average. Although, the drive is longer to get to Jungle Bay, it is well worth it. Picture yourself in a romantic cottage, high up in the tropical rainforest,... more

We have done many of the Caribbean islands but for my 60th birthday, I was looking for something truly unique -- someplace with no casinos or discos or overpriced drinks with cute little unbrellas. Oh my god, did I find it in Jungle Bay! The bad news (not at all JBs fault) is that American Airlines changed flight times four... more

Dominica together with Jungle Bay is the best kept secret in the Caribbean. It took me more than a year to finally write this review simply because I didn’t want to tell anyone about it. Great: -The location is perfect, situated on a wild and deserted coastline making you feel totally in touch with the island. -The cottages are superb;... more

We arrived at Jungle Bay and were very pleasantly surprised. Our cabin was lovely, clean, and miraculously free of mosquitoes and bugs. The staff was very warm and welcoming - and the owner, Sam, and his kind wife were ever present, further highlighting Jungle Bay's focus on service. The food was all locally produced and excellent (even if it was... more
