I contacted the hotel prior to booking it for a one night stay with my husband to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic idea. Anique and Kelcia went out of their way and beyond to make sure this was a very memorable night. With their recommendation, they set up our dinner table out... More

Ate burgers here one night, with a few friends. The vaitors was awefully slow to get us menus, then gave us almost an hour to study them before takeing our order, then 90 min to get us the food, which at that point was cold. The lovation was very good, but not worth it! Avoid!

Our group was in Dominica on a church mission trip to construct houses. We stayed in the fort young hotel and had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The room [518] was better than what I expected, but the ceiling fan was out of balance and made a loud knocking noise. I especially enjoyed breakfast of the deck, the food... More

I stayed here with a SCUBA group for a week. We had room 101 and loved it. It was right next to the scuba shop and great for getting on the boat in the morning. We were able to wash our gear and literally throw it up on our balcony to dry. Perfect for the diver. Also a big shout... More

We were there primarily for diving but also explored the island and used the tour agency, khatts tours, in the hotel for a lot of them. We had a deluxe ocean front room #204. It was comfortable, cool, king size bed, close to the restaurant, and pier for catching the dive boat. The shower / tub worked fine there was... More

By western standards this would be a "good to pretty good" hotel, but by Dominican standards, it's quite nice. Rooms are large and comfortable and staff is very accommodating. The Fort Young Dive Shop at the hotel can take care of your diving and snorkeling excursions (boats of all sizes for all types of groups). The dive masters are very... More

We stayed in 307 - the Scotts Head suite. The room had a wrap around balcony. We also had the breakfast package. Breakfast was limited to cereals, yogurt, fruit, breakfast breads, bacon/ sausage and an omelet station. There was also usually a local dish, which I found was always worth a taste. The staff were welcoming and very professional: they actually... More

Good people, food was ok rooms were comfortable. Looks dated but I guess that's the bottom line as it is supposed to give you that old fortish look. Well will stay here again on the next holiday :) There are a couple of good restaurants nearby for good food as well.

Dear Sid Thank you for your review. We are happy that you had a good experience during your stay. Yes indeed the Fort Young was built on and around an old Fort, part of what makes the hotel unique. The Fort has always played a pivotal role in Dominica's history starting with a wooden barricade on a edge of cliff... More
