This hotel is clean and great for Dominica standards, but very overpriced. If you compare to United States hotels it would be low.....but if you're familiar with Dominica, this place is great after checking out the island looking for a clean stay and screened windows with a shower indoors. We stayed in Fort Young as part of our Honeymoon in combination with St.Lucia. We loved the atmosphere, seaviews, and had a wonderfull candlelight dinner on the veranda. This the right hotel for your trip around the island. The rooms at the back are a little bit outdated but we advise you to book the rooms in the newer part... more

We spent three nights at the Fort young Hotel before Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is convienient for exploring the town. Rooms are nice but avoid the ones just above the Ocean side dining room if they have a band. Abit noisy but nice rooms. Our first trip to Dominica included a two night stay in the capital of Roseau at the Fort Young Hotel. The accommodations are nice and it is built into an old English fort.
